After 1.5 year I had came back to Almaty and attended to the tour by Zhanar. She is always professional and very helpful. When being with her I always feel superior to the other tourist since she know very well about local tourism. I highly recommend her tour to all traveler who look for a special experience in Almaty.

I had a fantastic afternoon food and wine tour with Zhanar in Almaty. On short notice, she arranged to meet me for the afternoon and took me on an extensive tasting tour of Kazakh food and wine, sharing stories about the culture, traditions, and history of the country at the same time. It was beyond my expectations and I finished the tour very full and happy! I got so much more out of the experience than I would have on my own, especially as I don’t know very much Russian. I highly recommend Zhanar as a guide!

Zhanar was really kind and helpful. She made a great itinerary: she made sure we slept in great guesthouses and had the best tour. Beforehand she answered all of our questions. Unfortunately, she could only be our guide for one day (when we went to big almaty lake), but she made sure we got another great guide for the following days. We had an amazing tour!

Everything is perfect and wonderful trip

I recently traveled to Almaty with a group of 25 other Hong Kong expats for a ski trip during a week-long holiday. We decided that we wanted to spend a day touring Almaty and I found Zhanar via Indy Guide. Her response to my request for a guide was prompt and her English was very good. I put together a rather unusual itinerary and she was helpful during every step of the process. At the last minute, while in Almaty, I decided to take a day off from skiing by myself to check out the local art scene. A few friends joined me too. With less than 24 hours notice she managed to organize truly one of the most memorable days of my life. She is an excellent guide, was very flexible in dealing with our group, and an absolute pleasure to be with. I highly recommend her services.

Arrived in Almaty without a plan and am so thankful to have found Zhanar. The trip was spectacular. In 4 days, Zhanar showed me the amazing and diverse landscapes across Kazakhstan - Charyn Canyon, Kaindy, Kolsai, Altyn Emel. The trip was extremely well organized, driver was safe and professional and Zhanar constantly explained the culture and history of each locale. Staying at Saty and Basshi village with the local villagers, having home-cooked meals, and engaging in light-hearted conversations were the most interesting part of the trip. Zhanara is the BEST FRIEND in Almaty that everyone needs! My friend and I did her wonderful food and wine tour that completely exceeded our expectations. If you are a first-timer in Almaty, I highly recommend that you sign up for a tour with Zhanara. Her hospitality and personality will make your stay in Almaty so much brighter. Unfortunately, we only did the food/wine tour, but definitely plan to explore the greater Almaty region with her next time! The food/wine tour was a great introduction to the city. She is a proud local who knows all the great spots and has friends all over town. The entire evening did not feel rushed and just felt like we were old friends.

Communication in advance was very easy and smooth. We booked the food tour right for first day we arrived im Almaty and we can highly recommend it as it was very informative, entertaining and yummy!

I had a wonderful and successful visit to Charyn Canyon and the Kolsai Lakes, organised through Zhanara. Everything went perfectly, and Zhanara was very personable and helpful, and was always happy to answer any questions or address any concerns in the build-up to this tour. Zhanara wasn`t available to take me to these areas personally, but she managed to keep everything on track via her colleagues. Thanks in no small part to her (and them), Kazakhstan 2018 was one of my best trips ever, so I can most certainly recommend her services.

Extraordinary! After quite some initial consultations we agreed on a quite demanding schedule and were indeed not disappointed! Zhanar not only gives you the tour (hence: car, driver, fuel, accomodation,...) itself, but even more prepares you with all important insights into Kasakhian culture, habits and language.

The tour organized by Zhanar was great. Our 2 guides Madina and Anar who guided us for 3 days 2 nights were especially helpful and friendly.

It is a must do item when you visit Kazakhstan. The big almanty lake tour from Zhanar is really fabulous. The organisation and the planning of this tour is great. My tour guide Uncle Volodya speaks English well, and brings me to many viewpoints to see the lake and take photos. Really an unforgettable day

Our day couldnt be any better with a great company, Zhanar, whom guided us through some of history and nature of Almaty. Zhanar took her time to explain and carefully walked us through as we were travelling with my 72 years old father and toddlers with as young as 16 months old. We enjoyed every moments of the all day tour, and Zhanar`s recommended food which she plans to ensure everyone`s taste are fulfilled, and to have the best seats and scenery for the tour. Transportation provided was good and the driver is an experience one who knows the hills. Enjoyable day for all of us and we believe Zhanar will make your day a memorable one too just like the one we had. Definitely, Zhanar, a recommended tour guide for you and your family.

My friend and I took a tour with Zhanar upon our arrival in Almaty. We found her to be very informative and interesting. We particularly enjoyed the food and wine tasting elements.

I do enjoy my tour very much, everything is perfect! Zhanar is a very friendly and considerate girl and told me lots of Kazakh culture. The driver, Victor, is very nice and with good driving skills. The host family, the nomad, is really nice and I felt being warmly welcomed. Everything was smooth in the tour! The view is amazing and I saw huge amount of cattles that is hardly seen in cities. This is my first time for horse riding! A special experience in staying in yurt with the local family. I highly recommend this tour if you want to have different experience more than only sightseeing in Almaty!

Next day of the walking tour with Zhanara, I also participated in the Cooking Class. She is a only guide organizing such food tour for a glutton like me. The class was held at chef`s apartment and there were 2 more local women besides me. It means I could have a chance to communicate local people closely. The menu was , 2 types of Ragman, Manpar, Baursak, Piyaz nan, Apple Pirog. We started class with mixing flours for noodle dough, cutting vegetables for ragman and manpar. So to say, we cooked from zero. We I experienced every part of cooking　 in detail. Sometimes simple but sometimes skills required...Of course the recipe note was already translated to English and Zhanara also helped me with translating tutorial one by one, step by step. We started at 11 and we finished all process at 16 oclock. Fully handmade Kazakh & Russian dishes were delicious enough that we can not find in Japan. Now I am looking my recipe memo and thinking to try it again soon.

I really enjoyed walking with Zhanara. She has deep knowledge about Almaty. We started the tour from Zenkov Cathedral located in Panfilov`s 28 Men Park. Although the cathedral was under reconstruction, it did NOT make me dissapointed because she explained why reconstruction needed, who damaged it etc...(Of course inside was wonderful as well, it was just like a museum) After that, we planned to stop by the Green Bazaar and Albart square but she always allowed me to add somewhere else such as Folk Instrumental Museum. My highlight was Green Bazaar where I could try several local tasty & sometimes surprising cuisine, dry fruits, horse meat, horse milk, camel milk and so on...Since I can not understand Russian nor Kazakh, her accompany helped me a lot. She also introduced a local cafeteria for lunch (actually we were almost full with a lot of tasting in green bazaar though). In everywhere, I found that her assistance make my trip more and more interesting. Even one single dish, one street, one building has interesting history. We ended this walking tour at a shop of new-rising local domaine named "Arba WIne". I did not expected that I could taste such various bottles of Kazakhstan wine. I tasted from 8 bottles totally and of course I find my favorite one. Additionally, I deeply appreciate to Zhanara for her accompany with a music festival and night outing after this tour!

I enjoyed 1 day tour with Zhanar. She is professional but very friendly which makes me comfortable all the time. She speaks fluent English. When I come back to Almaty, I will be sure to join her tour again! Highly recommend.

It was a very good experience. Zhanar is a very good person to talk to. I knew a lot about Khazakstsn and its people. If you are looking for a guide who talks in english and russian you found it. Fun, Friendly and enthusiastic. A lovely young lady who is passionate about her vocation and her country. A real delight booking this tour with her. We absolutely LOVED our tour with Zhanar! She shared so much interesting information about the city, history, and culture. Zhanar was friendly and personable, and we loved spending the day with her and learning all about Almaty and trying delicious foods. The food and wine was wonderful, and we ended up back at the winery the next day to purchase bottles to take back home. I would recommend this tour to everyone!

We had an incredible time with Zhanara on our 4 days trip to Almaty area. We`ve seen: Altyn-Emel singing dunes, Aktau mountains, Charyn canyon and the Assy plateau. Each one of those places are incredible and definitely worth a visit. But if you choose to go with Zhanara you will feel like those place are even more welcoming and fabulous. It was also very easy to adapt our itinerary "en route" which was very nice. She is a very good guide who makes you feel always comfortable and happy. We had the opportunity to learn a lot about the kazakh culture thanks to her and it really was like spending time and speaking with a friend from another part of the globe. We can`t recommend her more !

Everything was spot on. Very well organsied tour to big lake almaty. I enjoyed every bits of it. She is nice enough to help me take tons of picture. Which is a big plus for people traveling alone like me.
