After a five-year suspension due to the pandemic, passenger train services between Ulaanbaatar and Beijing will officially resume on 3 June 2025, reinstating one of Asia’s most iconic railway routes.

This significant development reconnects travellers with the Trans-Mongolian Railway—a transcontinental journey spanning deserts, steppes, mountains and cultures. The route, operated by Ulaanbaatar Railway JVC and China Railway, will run twice weekly in each direction, offering an affordable, scenic alternative to flying.

Tickets & Booking
