The Enormous Landscapes Of Tajikistan
Tajikistan, is settled in the strategically and geologically complex area of Central Asia along the old Silk Road; for quite a long time it filled in as a door among Western and Eastern Asia. For audacious geo-explorers, particularly those with an enthusiasm for dynamic landscapes, Tajikistan offers an astonishing mountain and ice sheet ascending, interminable hiking prospects, and the experience of feeling like you have gone back in time. The climate of Tajikistan is extreme, with cold winters and sweltering, bright summers. However, as it is a mountain region both temperature and precipitation differ with elevation and slant introduction. The landscapes of Tajikistan are, without a doubt, a sight that everyone must see at-least once in their life.
The Mountains
The country of Tajikistan is 93% mountains and offers one of the most scenic and beautiful landscapes in this world. The Pamir Mountains are such an example. Located across Afghanistan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, its heart lies in Tajikistan. However, because of its extraordinary bio-physical conditions, it has been formed into an astounding scene, with moon-like high levels (3'000–4'000 m), adjusted massifs, and huge valley floors in the east. In the west, profound valleys with traditional settlements settled on alluvial hills which are topped by glaciers. Another example is Ismoil Somoni Peak. For any mountaineer, it is the dream because it is a 7'000 meter climb. Once you reach the top of this peak, it all seems worth it as you can see the beautiful landscapes of Tajikistan from here. The light constantly changes as the clouds move across the sky and while it is difficult to reach this place with the harsh climate of Tajikistan, it all seems secondary as you take in the beauty from the top.
The Lakes of Tajikistan
Just as the mountains are an integral part of Tajikistan, so are the famous lakes. These lakes spread across the landscapes of Tajikistan and are situated in beautiful crevasses. The most beautiful lake in Tajikistan is the Iskanderkul. It is located in the western part of the country and is only a three-hour drive from the nation’s capital, Dushanbe. While it is a relatively small lake as compared to the others, it is one of the most picturesque landscapes of Tajikistan, thanks to its surrounding Fann Mountains.
The Legendary Pamir Highway of Tajikistan
The Pamir Highway, also officially known as M41, is one of the highest roads in the world whose peak point is Ak-Baital Pass which is 4'655 meters above sea level. There's no better way to see a variety of amazing valleys, tremendous mountain peaks as well as the rugged cliffs than to go through this as it makes for an unforgettable experience with its roadside attractions, wild landscape as well as the snow-covered ridges. This road goes through the wilderness, ranging from high desert to snowy mountains which goes over 4'000 meters. It is arguably one of the wildest and most scenic road trips on earth. One can say that is the place where one must go to truly see the absolute beauty of the landscapes of Tajikistan.
The Valleys of Tajikistan
The largest lake in Tajikistan is Karakul. Situated in the north-eastern part of the country, Karakul literally translates to ‘Black Lake’, despite the fact that the water is bright blue in color. While it is the youngest lake of all, it is also one of the most beautiful locations in Tajikistan. It is a deep brackish-water lake lying at an altitude of 3'900 meters above sea level. The lake is well known among explorers for its incredible view and the clearness of its appearance in the water, whose shade ranges from a dim green to sky blue and light blue throughout the late spring. Despite it being a long journey, it is worthwhile to spend a few hours staring into this scenic landscape of Tajikistan. The climate of this place is generally a cold one as it is surrounded by the high mountains of Tajikistan.
