I choose to travel alone as this would give me some flexibility in the programme. The programme offered by Farhan met this completely. The price was very fair and the accommodation and food was in line of what was expected. Farhan has a vaste network of contacts which allowed the programme to maximise on local expertise (languages!) and to mobilise secondary support (4X4) whenever necessary. A special thanks is due to Imran, the driver contracted for this route, and Faizan, Farhan's brother, whose stoytelling and flair for local traditions and 'petite histoire' ensured a very entertaining and educational journey throught the North of Pakistan. Both assured a safe and culturally enriching trip. All were well versed in English and Urdu, the Languages of the North East, respectful and helpful.
