If you need a 4x4 I recommend you ikbol. We rented it for to self driving through the Pamir Highway. The car worked perfect without any problem,. Very comfortable on dirty tracks. I recommend this car and without any doubt I recommend ikbol. We didn't need his help, but I'm sure 100% he would be there if necessary.

I’m giving Ikbol 5 stars because of the support we received throughout the trip. Every time we needed help, he was just a WhatsApp call away and always did his best to find quick solutions to any issues we encountered on the Pamir Highway. He was also extremely helpful in communicating with local people in their languages whenever necessary. We hired the Honda CR-V, and overall, the car was in decent condition. However, there are a few things that should be repaired or replaced before the next guest uses it. For example, the lever for opening the hood is broken and should be fixed. Since the Honda CR-V is a relatively small car, we had to drive quite slowly on the Pamir Highway (roads are really bad) - which was not a problem for us because we could enjoy the views. If you don’t mind driving slowly and want to take your time and enjoy the incredible scenery, I believe the car is adequate for the trip. However, if you prefer to drive a little faster or want a vehicle that handles the rough roads more comfortably, I would recommend hiring a more robust 4x4 with larger tires. The roads on the Pamir Highway can be extremely rough, so having a stronger vehicle makes a noticeable difference. Overall, we had a great experience, and Ikbol’s support throughout the trip was definitely helpful. I would happily recommend him to anyone planning the same adventure. Tips for the Pamir Highway: - Fuel is cheaper and better on the Kyrgyz side, so fill it up the car tank before crossing to Tajikistan. There is a fuel container available in the car, however you cannot cross the borders with the container with fuel, so make sure it is completely empty when you reach the border. - Fuel is scarce, so keep your fuel container full whenever possible. Even when locals told us that fuel would be available in the next town, gas stations always ran out. If you do run out, ask at guesthouses—they usually know where to find fuel, and some local people sell gasoline in canisters. They call it "benzine" everywhere. - You will be asked to pay 350 in local currency to the police on the Tajik side of the border. I believe this may be an unofficial fee because they refused to provide a receipt, and everyone we spoke to had been asked to pay something. - ATMs are very limited along the Pamir Highway. During our trip, we only found ATMs in Murghab and Khorog, so make sure you carry enough cash with you. It will be needed.

We rented a 2003 Toyota Land Cruiser in Dushanbe for a two-week road trip along the Pamir Highway to Osh. The car was perfect for this kind of adventure. Although we encountered a issue with the car at the beginning, Ikbol was incredibly helpful and connected us with a mechanic. He paid for the repair and even let us extend our rental by an extra day for free to make up for it. Afterward, the car ran perfectly. Ikbol is reliable and I would definitely book with him again :)

We rented a Land Cruiser from Osh to Dushanbe from Iqbol and had a very good overall experience. Iqbol was professional, responsive, and offered competitive prices. All the paperwork was in order, and we had no issues with permits or border-related documents. He also went above and beyond to help us arrange a GBAO permit on very short notice for a fee, which was hugely helpful. Our deposit was returned promptly. The car did suffer a partial engine failure on the final leg into Dushanbe, which was stressful. Thankfully, it still managed to get us to the end of the trip, though we had to make several forced stops along the way. To Iqbol’s credit, he sent a mechanic to collect the car in Dushanbe and had it repaired within 24 hours at no cost to us. He also refunded us one day’s rent. Overall, despite the mechanical issue, Iqbol handled the situation responsibly and professionally. I would highly recommend renting from him.

The communication with Ikbol was excellent. He was very helpful throughout our journey. The car had great capabilities and was very comfortable. On the outside, it had quite a few scratches from the many adventures it had endured. The only downside was that we experienced some minor issues, including a leak in the brake line and low engine oil level. However, all expenses were covered by Ikbol. I would definitely recommend this car for your next adventure.

Thanks to Ikbol, I had a wonderful trip to the Pamirs with my daughter. The car was in excellent condition, and the pickup and drop-off were also satisfactory. As you know, the CRV isn't designed for rough roads. However, driving on the M41, the main road in the Pamirs, was no problem at all. There were some minor issues, but the overall itinerary was fine. I accidentally lost the gas cap, but it was resolved at a reasonable cost.

Ikbol was extremely helpful and always quick to respons to any issues. During our two-week Road trip in Kyrgyzstan and Tadsjikistan Ikbol helped us with permits and needed licenses. The trip was rough and hard on the car. During the trip the car needed service/repair twice. Ikbol was very helpful and the car was repaired efficiently. Maybe this is part of travelling the Pamirs. We lost almost a day of time but it was also an experience to meet people in the local communities.

Wir haben Ikbols Auto angemietet und damit eine angenehme Rundreise unternommen. Ikbol war so freundlich, uns den Wagen bis zur Grenze entgegenzukommen, die wir aus Usbekistan überquerten. Das Fahrzeug befand sich in einem guten Zustand und bereitete uns bis auf einen kleinen Zwischenfall am Ende der Reise keine Probleme. Die Kupplung versagte, doch Ikbol organisierte umgehend telefonisch Hilfe. Nach einer dreistündigen Wartezeit war die Störung behoben, und wir konnten unsere Reise fortsetzen.
