Our 17-day tour through Mongolia with Khos honestly exceeded all our expectations. From the very beginning, the communication was easy, clear and personal. Khos created the entire 17-day itinerary around our wishes, with a great mix of experiences and accommodations, from very simple and authentic stays to more comfortable and even luxurious ones. We travelled in a super comfortable 4x4, which made a huge difference during the long days and off-road drives through Mongolia. But what really made this trip special was Khos himself. His English is great, he has an amazing sense of humor, and somehow we didn’t just get a guide, we also got our own DJ. 😂 He actually brought his DJ equipment and speaker along, which resulted in some unforgettable evenings in the middle of nowhere. He also went above and beyond when it came to our personal needs. I have Type 1 Diabetes and need to keep my insulin cool while travelling. Khos bought a new electric cooler specifically for our trip so we could safely store my insulin on the road. Throughout the entire journey, he was incredibly caring and involved, always thinking along and helping whenever needed. My husband has a lactose and soy allergy, and Khos made sure there were suitable food options throughout the whole trip. Even in remote parts of Mongolia, we never had to feel stressed about it. His connections with local people and the unique stays he arranged were truly the cherry on top. They gave us experiences we simply wouldn’t have found or been able to arrange ourselves. As content creators, we also wanted enough time to take certain photos and videos along the way. Khos completely understood that. He knew exactly where to stop, which places were worth spending extra time at, and never made us feel rushed when we wanted to capture something. One thing we think is important to mention: Khos has plenty of experience guiding people through Mongolia, but he has only recently started his own company. That means you might not see many reviews on his Indy Guide profile yet. Please don’t let that hold you back. His lack of reviews there has absolutely nothing to do with a lack of experience, he knows Mongolia, knows the people and knows how to create an incredible trip. If you’re looking for someone who is experienced, flexible, caring, funny, well-connected and genuinely wants to make your trip unforgettable, we couldn’t recommend Khos enough.
