Hi! First of all, welcome to my page! My name is Mehri, and I was born in the Pamir Mountains, in the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO) of Tajikistan—also known as a paradise for adventurers. This incredible region is home to some of the most breathtaking tourist destinations: the ancient Silk Road, the stunning Bartang and Wakhan valleys, the surreal landscapes of Karakul, Sarez, Bulunkul, and Zorkul lakes, the majestic Ismoil Somoni Peak, the massive Fedchenko Glacier, and the otherworldly Murghab region, where you might just feel like you’ve landed on Mars. And that’s just the beginning—thousands of other hidden gems are waiting to be explored. Growing up in a mountain village, I developed a deep love for the mountains, a love so big that I now carry it with me everywhere and share it with fellow mountain enthusiasts. Nine years ago, I turned this passion into a profession and started working in tourism. Today, I am a tour manager at Go Travel Tajikistan, I do go to tracking tours as well. Languages? No problem! I speak Tajik (of course), English, Russian, and Persian. My native language is Shugni-Pamiri. Thanks to my fascination with history, culture, and languages, I realized how much I enjoy sharing my country’s cultural treasures with the world—and learning about other cultures in return. Over the years, I have gained extensive experience in organizing tours and treks across Tajikistan, parts of Uzbekistan, and many other key tourist destinations. Fun fact: I am one of the few women in my country who prefers climbing mountains, reaching peaks, and introducing travelers to Tajikistan’s wild nature instead of spending the whole day in the kitchen. (Though, for the record, I’m actually a pretty good cook!) Now, a few words about Go Travel Tajikistan.
