Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Casablanca, Morocco
Welcome to Morocco! You’ll arrive in Casablanca and meet your driver outside the airport. Your tour will start with a visit to the Hassan II Mosque, which is the biggest mosque in Morocco. Then, the trip continues to Rabat, one of Morocco’s four imperial cities and the capital of the kingdom, where you’ll visit the Hassan Tower, Mohammed V Mausoleum, and the Kasbah of Oudayas. At the end of the day, your driver will take you to your accommodation. Allocate some time for yourself to unwind after a long and eventful first day.
Day 2: Rabat, Morocco to Chefchaouen, Morocco
Embark on a journey to Chefchaouen, a captivating town renowned for its mesmerizing blue ambiance. The walls, doors, windows, stairways, and alleyways all contribute to its unique charm. En route to Chefchaouen, also known as Chaouen, we will be treated to awe-inspiring vistas of the Rif Mountains. Upon your arrival, check-in at your riad, a traditional Moroccan house. After that, you are free to explore the town on your own or relax. You will spend the night immersing yourself in the enchanting atmosphere of the blue city.
Day 3: Chefchaouen, Morocco to Fes, Morocco
Start your day early to explore the tranquil streets and seize the perfect opportunity to capture unobstructed photos. Join your chauffeur and embark on the next leg of your adventure, heading towards the ancient ruins of Volubilis. Immerse yourself in a bygone era as you explore these impeccably preserved remnants of the Roman Empire, gaining valuable insights into the thriving civilization that once flourished here over two millennia ago. After basking in the wonders of Volubilis, you will journey onward to Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities. Delight in a scrumptious lunch in this historically significant city, renowned for its awe-inspiring architecture and prominent landmarks, such as the magnificent Bab al-Mansour gate and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. Continuing your drive, you will make your way to Fes. Upon arrival, you will be escorted directly to your riad or hotel, where you can unwind and savor a delightful evening meal.
Day 4: Fes, Morocco
Begin your visit to Fes at the Royal Palace, with its seven golden doors, and learn about the significance of its intricate decor. Stroll through the Mellah, or Jewish quarter, which was built next to the palace to offer protection. Take in the view of the city from Borj Sud, a former fortress and one of the lookout points on a hill that offers a panoramic view of Fez, allowing you to spot landmarks otherwise hidden by the skyline-obscuring buildings. Visit a pottery co-op to see how unique Fez pottery is made and observe the artisans handcrafting the intricate mosaics that adorn many buildings in Morocco. Enter the ancient medina and step into a living museum. The Fes medina is a vibrant local community where people live, work, and go about their daily lives. Make sure to visit Al-Quaraouiyine University, the oldest degree-granting university still in operation since its founding in 859 CE by a woman. Explore handicraft workshops, where you will witness why Fez is considered the handicraft capital of Morocco. Finally, don’t miss the famous Fez tannery, where various animal hides are processed by hand, a tradition that has continued for nearly 1,000 years.
Day 5: Fes, Morocco to Marrakesh, Morocco
Embark on a longer journey during your trip, where you’ll have the opportunity to visit any monuments you may have missed upon your arrival from Casablanca. Upon arriving in Marrakech and after checking in at your hotel or riad (Moroccan traditional house), you will be free to explore the atmosphere of Jamaa El Fna square on your own. Enjoy a refreshing mint tea from a beautiful rooftop terrace while taking in the surroundings.
Day 6: Marrakesh, Morocco
In contrast to the other three imperial cities, Marrakech traces its roots back to Berber culture rather than Arab origins, and it remains a prominent economic hub to this day. Embark on an exploration of the vibrant city of Marrakech, immersing yourself in the lively atmosphere of its bustling souks. Navigate through narrow alleys adorned with vibrant textiles and filled with the enticing aromas of exotic spices. Delve into the past at the Ben Youssef Madrasa, an Islamic school from the 16th century, and marvel at the Saadian Tombs, a hidden gem. Uncover the historical richness of the city by visiting iconic landmarks, including the captivating Bahia Palace and the magnificent Koutoubia Mosque. Day 7: Marrakesh, Morocco to Casablanca, Morocco
Following breakfast, complete the check-out process at your hotel in Marrakesh. Subsequently, you will be transferred to Casablanca Airport for your departing flight. . Bid farewell to Morocco and its splendidly preserved beauty – until we meet again!
