Travel overland on Karakoram Highway, reputed as 8th wonder of the world, through the dramatic, deep gorge of Indus: The Lion River. Spend a few days in Hunza inhabited by Ismaili Muslims and known for longevity of its inhabitants. Walk to the glaciers flowing down from the soaring peaks. Cross Shangla Pass to enter Mingora in Swat Valley. From Swat drive down to Peshawar and then travel on historic Grand Trunk Road, build in Moguls period, leading to Khyber Pass. The border between Afghanistan and Pakistan. After visiting Khyber Pass drive to Islamabad the capital of Pakistan. Spend one day in the capital.
Day 01 – Arrival at Sost – Transfer to Passu Arrival at Sost Pak-China Border and immigration formalities. Meet and greet with your guide at Sost immigration terminal. Drive along the scenic Karakoram Highway toward Upper Hunza (Gojal Valley). Short stop at Khyber village to enjoy mountain landscapes and local surroundings. Continue drive to Passu, one of the most beautiful villages in Hunza Valley. Explore the famous Passu Cones, local village area, and surrounding viewpoints. Overnight stay at Passu.
Day 02 – Explore Passu and Hussani Gummit Explore the breathtaking surroundings of Passu Valley including a visit to the magnificent Passu Glacier and a trek to the beautiful Batura Glacier. Experience the famous Passu Rainbow Bridge and interact with the warm and welcoming local communities of the region. Continue the journey with a visit to the iconic Hussaini Suspension Bridge and the scenic Borith Lake. Explore the historic Gulmit Old House to learn about the traditional Wakhi culture and heritage. Overnight
Day 03 – Gulmit to Hunza Karimabad After breakfast, drive from Gulmit toward Hunza Valley while enjoying spectacular mountain scenery along the Karakoram Highway. En route, stop at the beautiful turquoise waters of Attabad Lake for sightseeing and photography. Continue the journey to Karimabad, the cultural heart of Hunza Valley. Upon arrival, explore the historic Altit Fort and Baltit Fort, showcasing the rich history and heritage of the former Hunza Kingdom. Later, visit the local bazaar of Karimabad to experience traditional culture, gemstones, handicrafts, and local dry fruits. Proceed to Duikar View Point for panoramic sunset views over Rakaposhi, Ultar, and the surrounding peaks. Also visit the local women handicrafts center and women carpenter center to observe community-based projects and traditional artisan work by local women. Overnight stay in Hunza Karimabad.
Day 04 – Explore Hunza & Nagar Valley After breakfast, drive towards Nagar Valley to visit the beautiful Hoper Glacier. Enjoy a short trek and explore the spectacular glacier views surrounded by the Karakoram mountains. After lunch, drive back to Hunza Valley for further exploration around Karimabad, including local markets and traditional surroundings. Overnight stay at Hunza.
Day 05: Hunza – Minapin Rakaposhi – Gilgit After breakfast drive towards Minapin to enjoy the magnificent views of Rakaposhi and explore Minapin village surroundings. Spend some quality time at Minapin and enjoy lunch with beautiful mountain scenery. Later continue the drive to Gilgit. Upon arrival visit Kargah Buddha at Kargah Nala, followed by free time to explore Gilgit Bazaar for local shopping and cultural experience. Overnight stay at Gilgit. Day 06: Gilgit – Raikot Bridge – Fairy Meadows – Nanga Parbat Base Camp After breakfast, drive from Gilgit to Raikot Bridge. Upon arrival, transfer to local 4x4 jeeps for an adventurous drive to Tattu Village. Have lunch at Tattu Village before starting the trek to Fairy Meadows. The trek takes approximately 3 hours through beautiful alpine scenery with spectacular views of Nanga Parbat. Upon arrival at Fairy Meadows, check in to the campsite or cottages and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Overnight stay at Fairy Meadows.
Day 07: Adventure Trek to Bayal Camp & Nanga Parbat Base Camp After breakfast, start the full-day adventure trek towards Bayal Camp and the world-famous Nanga Parbat Base Camp. The trek begins from Fairy Meadows through beautiful alpine forest and mountain scenery. Arrive at Bayal Camp for a short stay to relax, enjoy tea, and use washroom facilities. Continue trekking towards the majestic Killer Mountain, Nanga Parbat Base Camp. Packed lunch will be served at the Base Camp while enjoying spectacular close-up views of the mountain and surrounding glaciers. After spending some time at the Base Camp, trek back to Fairy Meadows. The day will be physically demanding, with approximately 6–7 hours of walking in total, but highly rewarding for nature and adventure lovers. Overnight stay at Fairy Meadows. Day 08: Fairy Meadows – Tattu Village – Raikot Bridge to Skardu Valley. After breakfast, walk down to Tattu Village and transfer to jeep for the drive to Raikot Bridge. Upon arrival at Raikot Bridge, transfer to car and continue the scenic drive towards Skardu Valley via Jaglot. Lunch will be served at Jaglot. Arrive in Skardu city by evening, check in to hotel, and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 08: Fairy Meadows – Tattu Village – Raikot Bridge to Skardu Valley. After breakfast, walk down to Tattu Village and transfer to jeep for the drive to Raikot Bridge. Upon arrival at Raikot Bridge, transfer to car and continue the scenic drive towards Skardu Valley via Jaglot. Lunch will be served at Jaglot. Arrive in Skardu city by evening, check in to hotel, and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 09: Explore Skardu Valley After breakfast, drive to explore the beautiful valleys and attractions of Skardu. Visit the scenic Upper Kachura Lake and Lower Kachura Lake, famous for their crystal-clear water and breathtaking mountain surroundings. Continue to the iconic Shangrila Resort for sightseeing and relaxation. Later, drive to visit the beautiful Satpara Lake and the historic Kharpocho Fort overlooking Skardu city. In the evening, visit the famous Katpana Cold Desert to enjoy the unique landscape and sunset views. Return to Skardu city for overnight stay at hotel.
Day 10: Skardu – Shigar & Khaplu Valley After breakfast, drive towards Shigar Valley to explore its stunning landscapes and historical sites. Continue your journey to Khaplu Valley, enjoying scenic views along the way. Visit the beautiful Manthoka Waterfall, one of the most famous natural attractions in the region. After sightseeing, proceed to Khaplu for hotel check-in and overnight stay. Overnight stay: Khaplu
Day 11: Khaplu / Skardu – Flight to Islamabad – City Tour After breakfast, you will drive to Skardu Airport for your flight to Skardu → Islamabad. Upon arrival at Islamabad Airport, you will be received and begin your sightseeing tour: Visit the ancient Taxila Museum, showcasing Gandhara civilization artifacts Drive to the scenic Khanpur Lake for short sightseeing/photo stop Visit the iconic Faisal Mosque Explore the national landmark Pakistan Monument Continue to Rawalpindi for a visit to the famous local bazaar (commonly known as Raja Bazaar), experiencing local culture and shopping In the evening, transfer to your hotel in Islamabad for overnight stay.
Day 12: Islamabad – Free Day & Departure Enjoy a free day in Islamabad or, if you prefer, take an optional visit to a local bazaar in the afternoon for last-minute shopping and sightseeing.
