Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Dashoguz, Turkmenistan to Derweze, Turkmenistan
Dashoguz - Koneurgench - Darvaza Gas Crater. -Meet the guide at the border of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan and receive help with all formalities. -Be prepared for the possibility of Covid testing and pay in cash in US Dollars. -Drive to the northern province of Turkmenistan to see the architectural monuments of Old Urgench, the former capital of Khorezm in the seventeenth century. -Visit the Mausoleum of Nejmeddin al Kubra, Tyurabek Khanum, Il Alp Arslan, Tekesh Ibn Hadzhibey, and the Kutlug Timur Minaret, the highest minaret in Central Asia. -Drive through the Karakum Desert to Darvaza Water, Clay, and Gas Craters. -Enjoy the spectacular view of the flaming gas crater in the evening. -Stay in camp with tasty catering and dinner picnic style. -Observe the crater during day and night, feel the heat, and listen to the sound it creates. -Enjoy a delicious fire cooked dinner near the gas crater. -Overnight at the camp in a yurt or tents under the starry sky.
Day 2: Derweze, Turkmenistan to Dashoguz, Turkmenistan
Darvaza Gas Crater in Dashoguz. -Have breakfast at the camp at 07:00 AM. -Proceed to explore the highlights of Dashoguz. -Transfer to Dashoguz Shabat Border. -End of tour.
