Day-by-day itinerary

Day 1: Panjakent, Tajikistan to Iskanderkul, Tajikistan

I will pick you up from the hotel in Panjakent or border in early morning. To get to Iskandarkul, we will drive on the Dushanbe-Khujand highway and turn on the 110 km near the village of Zarafshan and drive along the mountain serpentine for another 24 km. We will drive to Iskandarkul about 3 hours. You will see Fan Mountains the most popular tourism area in Tajikistan. Iskandarkul is the most famous lake of Tajikistan. It is a tourist visiting card of Tajikistan. The literal translation is Lake of Alexander, which has a blockage type of formation, the lake is dammed by a moraine, covered with rock from above, which was the result of a landslide, possibly due to a strong earthquake. The height of the lake is 2195 m above sea level, located between the western ends of the Gissar and Zerafshan ranges. The water temperature remains cool even in summer.
