Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Almaty, Kazakhstan to Altyn Emel National Park, Алматы, Kazakhstan
We will drive from Almaty to the village Basshy 250km and after getting tickets we will attend to the Singing dunes. One of the most unique natural phenomena. There are many legends and tales associated with it. For a long time, scientists did not understand this phenomenon. And in the Middle Ages, people who heard the singing of the dune believed that it was the howling of the shaitan of the desert. This natural phenomenon is located on the right bank of the river Ili. The length of the dune reaches almost 3 km, and a height of 150 m. This is the largest of the known dunes. After that we have 2 options: Stay in a village in a comfortable accomodation with meal or attend to the mountains Aktau and camp here with our tents and field cuisine.
Day 2: Altyn Emel National Park, Алматы, Kazakhstan to Almaty, Kazakhstan
After visiting Aktau mounatains we will show you ancient volcanic rocks Katutau. During the whole trip we can observe rare Fauna and flora of this wonderful National Park
