Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Tunis, Tunisie to Tozeur, Tunisie
Tunis – Kairouan – Tozeur Morning: Depart from Tunis. Stop in Kairouan, the spiritual capital of Tunisia. Visit the Great Mosque, the Aghlabid Basins, and wander through the vibrant Medina. Afternoon: Continue towards Tozeur, the gateway to the desert, famous for its unique brick architecture and immense palm grove. Evening: Check-in and overnight stay at a hotel in Tozeur.
Day 2: Tozeur, Tunisie to Douz, Tunisie
Mountain Oases – Chott El Jerid – Tembaine Morning: Explore the mountain oases of Chebika, Tamerza, and Mides, enjoying their spectacular canyons and refreshing waterfalls. Mid-day: Depart for Douz, crossing the vast, shimmering salt lake of Chott El Jerid. Afternoon: Enjoy a traditional lunch at Le Palmier restaurant in Douz. Afterward, board a 4x4 for an adventure into the desert toward Tembaine. Evening: Arrive at Campement Tiniri. Settle into your private luxury tent. Experience the thrill of sandboarding on the great dunes and witness a breathtaking sunset. Enjoy a traditional sand-bread tasting followed by a campfire dinner under the stars.
Day 3: Douz, Tunisie to Tunis, Tunisie
Douz – Matmata – El Jem – Tunis Morning: Depart the camp and return to Douz. Travel through the rugged landscapes of the Dahar region to reach Matmata. Visit traditional troglodyte dwellings and admire the lunar landscapes. Afternoon: Continue to El Jem. Visit the grand Roman Amphitheatre and participate in a hands-on mosaic workshop to learn this ancient art form. Evening: Return to Tunis. End of our services.
