The two most beautiful natural attractions in Tajikistan while also serving as a practical overland journey from Samarkand to Dushanbe. Instead of spending a full day on the highway, you travel through the heart of the Fann Mountains and experience landscapes that many visitors never see.
Two Iconic Destinations in One Journey.
Most travelers visit either:
Seven Lakes, or
Iskanderkul Lake
We will give an opportunity of a complete introduction to the Fann Mountains in visiting both just three days.
1. Seven Lakes
The Seven Lakes are not simply seven lakes in a row. Each lake has a different color depending on depth, minerals, sunlight, and season. You will be the luckiest to see:
Turquoise and emerald water
Traditional mountain villages
Dramatic canyon scenery
Local homestay experience
Remote landscapes rarely seen by mass tourism
The final lake, Hazorchashma, sits at approximately 2,400 meters and offers some of the most impressive mountain scenery in Central Asia.
Iskanderkul: Tajikistan's Most Famous Lake
2. Iskanderkul Lake is often called the "Pearl of the Fann Mountains"
What makes it unique:
Large alpine lake surrounded by peaks exceeding 5,000 meters
