Day 1: Arrival in Kigali, Rwanda
• Arrive at Kigali International Airport.
• Meet your guide and transfer to your accommodation in Musanze near Volcanoes National Park (approximately 2-3 hours).
• Enjoy dinner and relax, preparing for the adventure ahead.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
• Early morning breakfast.
• Transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking rules and guidelines. Embark on a thrilling gorilla trekking adventure in the dense forest of Volcanoes National Park.
• Spend an hour observing and photographing a gorilla family in their natural habitat, Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.
Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking in Nyungwe Forest National Park
• Early morning breakfast.
• Depart for Nyungwe Forest National Park (approximately 4-5 hours).
• Lunch near Nyungwe Forest.
• Afternoon, chimpanzee trekking adventure in Nyungwe Forest
• Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Nyungwe Top view Hill Lodge
Day 4: Canopy Walk and Departure
• Early morning breakfast.
• Visit the Uwinka Visitors' Center for a canopy walk experience
• Return to the lodge for lunch and transfer back to Kigali (approximately 6-7 hours).
Day 1: Arrival at Kigali – Transfer to Volcanoes National Park Upon arrival, you will drive to Musanze in the northwest part of Rwanda, the main base town for Gorilla tracking. The drive is through beautiful rolling hills on a comfortable paved road and is approximately 2.5 hours from Kigali. You will arrive in time for lunch at your lodge. Dinner and overnight stay at Mountain Gorilla view Lodge
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Very early in the morning have breakfast and then head to the park headquarters at Kinigi for briefing and to be assigned the specific group to track. Tracking can take for approx. two to 8 hours depending on the type of the group you are going to track. . In the evening after relaxing a bit head to Ibyiwachu Cultural Village. They perform cultural activities like dance, songs, traditional marriage, hunting etc. They will give you a clear picture of Rwandan culture. Dinner and overnight at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge.
Day 3: Transfer to Nyungwe National Park: You will have an early breakfast and proceed to Nyungwe National Park, Nyungwe forest National Park which is made up of a variety of habitats including montane forests, bamboos, grasslands, and swamps. This is a home to 13 primate species such as Chimpanzees, endangered Golden monkeys, Blue Monkeys, colobus, red tailed monkeys and grey checked mangabeys. There are also about 300 bird species. Have lunch and go for afternoon Chimpanzee trekking adventure. Return to the lodge for Dinner and overnight stay (Nyungwe hilltop view lodge)
Day 4: Canopy walk and transfer to Kigali The canopy walk is good for birders- It’s a guided nature walk in the morning that will enable one spot a variety of bird species in the Nyungwe forest. You will not miss birds such as Rwenzori Turaco and black and white casqued hornbill. Large troops of colobus monkeys will be every time encountered on different forest trails. After the walk, you will proceed to Kigali with a lunch enroute. Depending on your departure flight, the driver guide will drop you off at the hotel or straight at the airport.
