Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Arba Minch Airport, Arba Minch, Ethiopia to Arba Minch Town, Ethiopia
Addis Ababa to ArbaMinch Flight from Addis Ababa to Arba Minch. In the afternoon, you’ll take a drive up the hill side to the highland community of Dorze. The Dorze people are famous for their skill as weavers and on a tour round the village, you will see some of their products. Even their houses are woven from bamboo. You can try your hand at spinning thread, and find out some of their many uses of the enset (false banana) plant. From there, you’ll return to Arba Minch, where you’ll stay the night OverNight :Jinka Resort Arbaminch.
Day 2: Arba Minch Town, Ethiopia to Turmi Town, Ethiopia
Arba Minch – Chamo_Konso Chamo – Konso Village – Turmi In the morning, after an early breakfast, we’ll drive down to Lake Chamo for a boat trip to visit the “crocodile market” (a local name for a spot on the lake; no buying or selling takes place).Here, we’ll see hippos, some of Africa’s largest crocodiles, and various bird species. The Konso Cultural Landscape, which includes 42 villages and surrounding farmland, is designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site. There are around 250,000 people living in this area, mostly in hilltop villages surrounded by high stone walls. Konso farmers use a sophisticated system of stone terracing to retain moisture and prevent erosion of the hillsides.The area is also famous for the waka (carved wooden funerary statues) that dot the landscape. The Konso people are thought to have lived in this area for at least 400 years and they speak a language belonging to the Cushtic family.Overnight:Tribal Life Eco Lodge.
Day 3: Turmi Town, Ethiopia
Turmi - Airbore - Turmi In the morning after breakfast drive to Arbore. The Arbore tribes settled in the harshest arid land on a scorching sun Arbore Girls and women are adorned with beads and bracelets. They dress in skirts made from skin uniquely designed and decorated with beads and pieces of metal. Arbore men wrap a white piece of cloth on their haeds. after visiting their deep village life continue driving to Turmi Overnight :Tribal Life Eco Lodge.
Day 4: Turmi Town, Ethiopia
Turmei_Dassanech Turmei, you will visit a village of the Dassanech people. The Dassanech tribe, living around Omerate, is not strictly defined by ethnicity but has absorbed a wide range of different people over time. The Dassanech are divided into eight main clans, each of which is believed to have special powers over different things such as water, crocodiles, snakes, diseases, drought, eye infections, scorpion bites and muscular problems. Members of the same clan are forbidden from marrying (or even dancing with) each other. Both men an women of the Dassanech adorn themselves with beads and bracelets. you’ll return to Turmei, Dassaneche tribe we will drive back to Turmi for having lunch then we will keep drive In the afternoon, you may be lucky enough to see a Hamar Bull-jumping ceremony, or visit the Hamar village if you saw the bull-jumping ceremony on the previous day. Day 5: Turmi Town, Ethiopia to Jinka Town, Ethiopia
Turmi - Kara - Jinka In the morning After breakfast we make an excursion trip to Karo Tribe's village of Korcho located in near by the shore of Omo River where you will make a great deal of interactions with these unique tribes of Karo (The least numbered tribes in terms of population size). After visiting this Tribe's village for as much time you need, and drive to jinka Overnight jinka Nasa Hotel.
Day 6: Jinka Town, Ethiopia to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Jinka _Mursi -Addis Abeba In the morning after breakfast will peak you from the hotel and we will drive mursi Village though Mago national Park. The Mursi women wear circular clay plate on their lower lip as well ear lobes the men are known for the stick fighting.After bake to jinka airport fly to Addis Abeba. Over night Metas Hotel & Spa.
