Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Ашхабад, Туркменистан
Begin your journey in Ashgabat with a warm airport welcome and comfortable hotel accommodation. Explore the city's highlights, including the impressive Halk Hakydasy Memorial complex and Ertugrul Gazi Mosque, followed by some shopping at Arkach Shopping Center. In the evening, enjoy dinner and night city tour to admire Ashgabat's beautifully illuminated architecture before returning to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 2: Ашхабад, Туркменистан to Сердар, Туркменистан
Start the day with an early breakfast before travelling to Garrygala. Discover the stunning natural scenery of the Moon Mountains and the Sumb ar River Valley, followed by a visit to the historic Garrygala Fortress ruins. After lunch, continue to Gyzylarbat, where you will check in at Chynar Hotel, enjoy dinner, and relax overnight.
Day 3: Кара-Кала, Туркменистан to Ашхабад, Туркменистан
Travel to the picturesque Nohur region and discover its unique natural and cultural attractions. Visit Nohur village, the fascinating Kow-Ata underground lake, and the mysterious Kyrk-Gyz Cave. After lunch at Soygi Dagy restaurant, return to Ashgabat for dinner and an overnight stay at Sport Hotel.
Day 4: Ашхабад, Туркменистан to Мары, Туркменистан
Travel to Mary and settle into your hotel before exploring the region’s rich historical heritage. Visit the ancient city of Merv and other significant historical sites, followed by a cultural heritage tour of Mary. Enjoy a visit to the local bazaar, experience the atmosphere of the city, and finish the day with dinner and an overnight stay at Margush Hotel.
Day 5: Мары, Туркменистан to Дарваза Гас Кратер, Дарваза, Туркменистан
After breakfast, travel towards Darvaza with a stop at the traditional Yerbent village along the way. Upon arrival, explore the famous Darvaza Gas Crater and its surrounding gas, water, and mud craters. Enjoy dinner near the crater while taking in the spectacular desert landscape, followed by an overnight stay in a traditional nomadic yurt.
Day 6: Дарваза Гас Кратер, Дарваза, Туркменистан to Ашхабад, Туркменистан
Enjoy breakfast at Darvaza before beginning the journey back to Ashgabat. Upon arrival, transfer to Ashgabat International Airport for your departure. This marks the end of your memorable Turkmenistan journey.
