Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Ashgabat, Turkmenistan to Old Nisa, Ashgabat, Turkmenistan
Day 1: Ashgabat Meeting at Ashgabat International Airport. Drive through the illuminated night scenery of Ashgabat before checking into Hotel. Breakfast at the hotel is scheduled for 9 am, followed by a city tour of Ashgabat. The tour begins with a visit to the National Museum of Turkmenistan, then continues to the ancient city of Nisa. Next, we head to the Bedew Hippodrome to see and ride the famous Akhal-Teke horses, renowned worldwide. Following the horse-riding experience, enjoy a stroll through local shopping centers, explore the well-known Russian Bazaar, and visit the Arch of Neutrality and the monument dedicated to the great Turkmen poet Makhtumkuli
Day 2: Ashgabat, Turkmenistan to Merv, Turkmenistan
Day 2: Ashgabat – Mary Ancient Merv - Ashgabat Breakfast at the hotel at 9 am, followed by a journey to Mary, where we will visit the Ancient City of Merv, a gem of the Silk Road. After exploring this historic site, we’ll take a scenic drive through Mary city. A delicious lunch awaits at a local restaurant in Mary before we head back to Ashgabat. Upon arrival, we’ll enjoy a delightful evening walk through the illuminated city.
Day 3: Ashgabat, Turkmenistan to Seyit Jemaleddin Mosque, Annau, Turkmenistan
Day 3: Ashgabat city tour Breakfast at the hotel, then departure by car to the city center. Visiting local malls like Ashgabat mall, Gulzemin and Arkach. After lunch driving to Anew 20 minutes out of the Ashgabat to see the Seyit Jemaleddin Mausoleum: A unique 11th-century monument situated in a picturesque area. Learn about its construction history and architectural features. After a short tour of Ashgabat, enjoy a stroll through the city's beautiful parks, followed by dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 4: Nokhur, Turkmenistan to Köw Ata Underground Lake, Akdepe, Turkmenistan
Day 4: Nebitdag – Nokhur village – Kow Ata underground lake – Ashgabat After breakfast, we drive to the village of Nokhur. Nestled in a small valley in the Kopetdag Mountains, Nokhur’s stone houses are built from local boulders set in clay. The narrow village streets, apart from the main road, allow just enough space for one car to pass. The Nokhuri people, who inhabit this secluded mountain village, are distinct from other Turkmen tribes. We then continue our journey to Kow-Ata Lake. This underground lake, located 107 km from Ashgabat, is known as “Father of Caves.” The cave’s emerald waters maintain a warm temperature of 33-37°C year-round, making it an inviting spot for swimming. After enjoying the lake, we drive back to Ashgabat.
Day 5: Ashgabat, Turkmenistan to Turkmenbashy Ruhy Mosque, Ashgabat, Turkmenistan
Day 5:Ashgabat The Palace of Happiness is another landmark of Ashgabat, where we can try on national Turkmen wedding dress. It amazes with its luxury and sophistication. Ertugrulgazy Mosque in Ashgabat This mosque is known for its size and beautiful architecture. Turkmenbashi Ruhy Mosque in Ashgabat One of the largest mosques in Central Asia. Its majestic domes and minarets are visible from afar.
Day 6: Ashgabat, Turkmenistan to Door to Hell, Derweze, Turkmenistan
Day 6 Ashgabat – Darvaza Gas crater Breakfast at the hotel, followed by a visit to the Carpet Museum of Turkmenistan for a closer look at the rich local culture. We’ll tour some of Ashgabat’s top landmarks, then after lunch at around 1 pm, set off by car to Darvaza, a journey of about three hours. Upon arrival, we’ll explore and take photos at the Darvaza Gas Crater. The experience includes a BBQ dinner, and we’ll spend the night in the Garagum Yurt Camp.
Day 7: Door to Hell, Derweze, Turkmenistan to Ashgabat, Turkmenistan
Day 7: Darvaza Gas Crater – Ashgabat After visiting the Darvaza gas crater, return to Ashgabad for a city tour (without specifying the places), dinner at a local restaurant, and a walk through Ashgabad. Transfer to the international Ashgabat Airport.
