Seven lakes or Marguzor lakes - all this is the name of one beautiful complex of lakes in the depths of the Fann Mountains. In the morning transfer to Uzbekistan-Tajikistan border from your hotel in Samarkand (50 km, 1 h). Border crossing. Meeting with guide and driver at Tajikistan part of the border. Trip to Panjakent, a small city with an ancient history (30 km, 40 min). Ancient Panjakent was a small but flourishing town of the Sogdians in pre-Islamic Central Asia. Sightseeing in Panjakent: local bazaar and mosque. Then you will visit an ancient settlement Sarazm. The ruins of the old town are on the outskirts of the modern city. It dates back to the 4th millennium BC. Trip through the majestic Fann Mountains to the famous Seven lakes. The lakes were formed after an earthquake. Each lake looks different whenever the sun changes its position. Each of the lakes has its own name: Nezhigon, Soya, Gushor, Nofin, Hurdak, Marguzor, Hazorchashma. The total change in elevation between them is 760m. Lunch at chaikhana (teahouse). Returning to Tajikistan-Uzbekistan border. Border crossing. Transfer back to the hotel in Samarkand.
