Day-by-day itinerary

Day 1: Kilimanjaro International Airport, Tanzania to Arusha, Tanzania

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK), which serves domestic flights, a representative from Serengeti Insider Safaris will greet you and provide transportation to your accommodation in Arusha. You will spend the night at the tranquil Forest Hill Hotel, situated in the outskirts of the city, surrounded by a serene environment and a picturesque garden. This peaceful setting will prepare you for the exciting safari adventure that awaits you the next day. Day 2: Arusha, Tanzania to Tarangire National Park, Tanzania

You will be collected from your accommodation in Arusha by your private safari guide for a journey to Tarangire, which is approximately a 2.5-hour drive away. Tarangire is renowned for its elephant families, expansive savannah, striking baobab trees, seasonal swamps, and the vital Tarangire River. The river attracts a variety of animals, including giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests. Additionally, the park is home to buffalos, zebras, and wildebeests, all of which are closely followed by predators like lions and leopards. Throughout the game drive, you’ll have the opportunity to observe the wildlife and absorb the picturesque landscape from the vehicle’s open roof. A delightful picnic lunch with delicious food, coffee, and soft drinks will be provided in the park. Following lunch and an extensive game drive, we will make our way to Mawe Mawe Manyara Lodge in Mto wa Mbu, where you will enjoy a comfortable dinner and spend the night. Day 3: Mto Wa Mbu, Tanzania to Africa Safari Lake Natron, Tanzania

After breakfast, we will start driving towards Lake Natron. Wild and remote Lake Natron lies in the northeast of Tanzania in between the Ngorongoro Highlands and Serengeti plains. Here it is the landscape rather than the animals that is the attraction – the area around the lake inhabited by Maasai is dry, desolate, and hauntingly beautiful. You will arrive at your accommodation Africa Safari Lake Natron in time for lunch. You will visit the base of Oldoinyo Lengai, followed by a lake walk during sunset. Situated at the base of Africa’s only active volcano Oldoinyo Lengai (Mountain of God), Lake Natron is one of the most alkaline lakes in the world. The lake is home to millions of tiny crustaceans, attracting literally thousands of lesser flamingos and it is, therefore, one of the most important flamingo breeding grounds on earth. Day 4: Africa Safari Lake Natron, Tanzania to Serengeti National Park, Tanzania

After an early breakfast, we will start our activities at Lake Natron which includes following roads to some of the most interesting localities, such as hot springs, NgareSero waterfalls, and much more. After lunch, you will start your drive to Northern Serengeti, arriving at Klein’s gate at 4pm. These two days will be special for witnessing the crossing of the great migration at the Mara River. After catching the sunrise, you will go to the Mara River to witness the crossing of the migration. Spend the whole day there. Later you will drive to your accommodation for dinner and overnight. Main Destination: Northern Serengeti National Park Accommodation: Intimate Camp Zebra Luxury tented camp (with rustic facilities) located inside Serengeti NP Meals & Drinks: All meals included All drinks (Except for spirits/liquor)

Day 5: Serengeti National Park, Tanzania

Full day in Serengeti National Park

Day 6: Serengeti National Park, Tanzania

We head out and start to explore at sunrise, we will have a full day game drive exploring the beautiful scenery of Northern Serengeti first and later finish the rest of the day in Central Serengeti. Dinner and overnight will be at Into wild Africa Luxury Camp. Main Destination: Central Serengeti National Park Accommodation: Into Wild Africa Mid-range tented camp located inside Central Serengeti Meals & Drinks: All meals included All drinks (Except for spirits/liquor)

Day 7: Serengeti National Park, Tanzania to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Tanzania

Today we will wake up very early in the morning (around 6am) for a sunrise game drive and to spot the animals when they are most active. We will then stop at a picnic site to enjoy breakfast in the bush and continue with game drive until lunch time and continue to Ngorongoro where we will have dinner and overnight at Ang’ata Ngorongoro Camp. Main Destination: Central Serengeti National Park Accommodation: Ang’ata Ngorongoro Camp Mid-range tented bush camp located on the crater rim of Ngorongoro Crater Meals & Drinks: All meals included All drinks (Except for spirits/liquor)

Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater, Tanzania to Arusha, Tanzania

Today we will get in the safari vehicle at 6am and descend to the crater with our packed breakfast. This stunning place will offer you with almost every species of wildlife indigenous to East Africa including the rare black rhino and if we are lucky, we might spot one. Measuring an area of 260 Kilometers square and extending about 20km in diameter, we will need probably 5 hours to explore it. We will then drive back to Arusha to end your safari. Main Destination: Ngorongoro Crater Accommodation: No accommodation (End of tour) Meals & Drinks: Breakfast & lunch (Dinner not included) All drinks (Except for spirits/liquor)
