About this tour
An exploratory tourist trip starting from Casablanca in the direction of the desert with its beauty, passing through the wonderful Moroccan cities: Rabat, Chaouen, Fez, Merzouga, Ouarzazate, Marrakech and other cities and unique places: Volubilis, Kasbahs, valleys and everything that is interesting and discoverable.
Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Mohammed V International Airport, Casablanca, Morocco to Casablanca, Morocco
Day 1: Casablanca Pick up at the airport & drive to Hassan 2 mosque to have a wonderful 1st picture. Then go direct to the hotel.
Day 2: Casablanca, Morocco to Chefchaouen, Morocco
Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat – Chefchaouen This early morning, we will drive to chefchaouen and enjoy the best attractions… On the way, we will across Rabat, the Capital and visiting Hassan Tower and the mausoleum.
Day 3: Chefchaouen, Morocco to Fes, Morocco
Day 3: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Fes After visiting the blue city , we will drive to Fes via Volubilis the romain empire. Then continue our trip to fes.
Day 4: Fes, Morocco
Day 4: Fes We’ll start the day exploring the oldest city in Morocco, snaking through its alleys and narrow streets. We’ll begin sightseeing at the Royal Palace gate, followed by the Jewish headquarter where the first Mellah ever was built in Morocco, during the 16th century. We’ll ensure that you visit all sites with cultural and historical interest including the famous Al Qaraouine University, the oldest in the region. We’ll also visit the Tanneries, the Attarine museum and the Moulay Idriss mausoleum. After lunch you’ll visit many different cooperatives and then, experience a wonderful panoramic view over the whole Medina of Fes before ending the night at your Riad/Hotel.
Day 5: Fes, Morocco to Merzouga, Morocco
Day 5: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Merzouga Your tour continues with a drive to Azrou where we’ll stop to explore the cedar forest, home of the Berber Apes. Our drive, from there, carries on past Midelt and the Ziz valley with a quick lunch/drink stop in Erfoud, continuing through Rissani and finally reaching Merzouga. Once there, we’ll trade in our 4x4 for camels (optional), guided by an experienced camel guide, and explore the region of Erg Chebbi. It’ll take us around 90 minutes to reach the campsite, once there, we’ll enjoy a beautiful sunset over the dunes and once dark, our dinner will be served around a campfire. This night will be spent in Berber tents in the desert.
Day 6: Merzouga Camp, Merzouga, Morocco to Dadès Gorges, Morocco
Day 6: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges We’ll fetch an early start to catch the sunrise over the dunes before arriving at a local hotel to freshen up. After breakfast we’ll head through Rissani and Tinghir to Todra gorge; the highest and narrowest gorge in Morocco. After lunch at the gorge, we’ll drive through the Dades valley enjoying the view of the geological feature known locally as “Monkey Toes”. We’ll stay overnight in Dades valley, including a complimentary dinner and breakfast the next morning.
Day 7: Oued Dades, Morocco to Marrakesh, Morocco
Day 7: Dades Gorges – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakesh After breakfast, we’ll continue our tour towards Ouarzazatte through the path of a thousand Kasbahs (fortress) stopping at Kalaat Mgouna, the center of the Valley of Roses, famous for its annual Rose Festival. We’ll continue to the Unesco World Heritage site, the Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, famous for being used as a filming location for Hollywood movies such as Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, and for the famous HBO series Game of Thrones. We’ll then take the Tizi-n-Tichka mountain pass to Marrakesh, where we’ll spend the night.
Day 8: Marrakesh, Morocco to Casablanca, Morocco
Day 8: Marrakech – Casablanca Airport transfer!!!
