Welcome to the land of paradise and immerse into Kyrgyz nomad’s life by spending few days with them. Wonder at its fascinating and hospitable people, celestial mountains with beautiful gorges and rivers.
Bishkek – Arrive in Bishkek and transfer to the guest house. After a relaxed morning at the guest house we begin exploring the city visiting some of its main sights including the National History Museum, Ala Too Square, Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Pobeda Square (Victory Square), National Philharmonic, an eastern market - Osh bazaar.
In the morning transfer to Chon Kemin. We drive to Tokmok city where we visit the Burana tower, which marks all that remains of a once flourishing city of the ancient Silk Road and an open-air museum of Balbals (stone warriors). After the Burana tower we continue our trip to Chon Kemin gorge. After lunch we have time to walk around village. The night and dinner at the guest house.
After breakfast, we drive to the second largest lake in Kyrgyzstan – Son Kul lake. Son Kul lake is situated on 3013 m. above sea level and surrounded by beautiful mountains. After our arrival, we have a chance to watch Kyrgyz national horse game Kok Boru, where two teams of riders are fighting for the carcass of a goat. Overnight in nomadic yurts (up to 4 people in a yurt) If you want, you can go for a swim in Son Kol lake.
After breakfast optionally horse riding. Then we drive to Kochkor from Son Kul lake. On arrival to Kochkor we visit a felt carpet workshop. Here we can see the process of making Kyrgyz traditional felt carpets. Then, we drive to Issyk Kul lake, the second largest alpine lake in the world after Lake Titicaca in South America. Our next destination is Ak-Sai canyons (Ak-Sai village), where we watch a hunting show with golden eagle, kyrgyz sighthound (taigan). Overnight in yurt camp with facilities.
After breakfast, we drive to the “Fairytale Canyon”. The canyon is famous for its unique red colors and strange formations. Then we continue our trip to the Barskoon Gorge, where we stop for a short hike to visit beautiful waterfall in the forest. After short hiking we have time for picnic. Drive to Karakol, where we visit Russian Orthodox church and Dungan Mosque in Chinese style.
After breakfast, transfer to Ak-Suu village, where we start our hiking through the mountain passes one of the most beautiful gorges in Kyrgyzstan. Translated from Kyrgyz, Altyn-Arashan means "golden hot spring". Free time for walking and it will be possible to bathe in hot springs. Then we come back to our car. Transfer to Karakol.
After breakfast, we drive to Cholpon-Ata. Our destination is an open air museum of petroglyphs. Transfer to Bishkek. Overnight at the guest house.
In the morning, after breakfast we drive to Ala-Archa Natural Park, at the altitude 1600-4860 m. On the territory of this park are located more than 20 small and large glaciers, around 50 mountain peaks, and 2 small rivers, which originate from glaciers melting water. After hiking transfer to the guest house. After dinner we enjoy a traditional Kyrgyz folk show.
Transfer to the airport. Fly out of Bishkek.
