A Journey Into The Christmas Card

Day 1: Nur-Sultan

The winter in Kazakhstan is something very unusual for what most of people used to think of any Stan. Being geographically a part of South Siberia, in the winter Central and North Kazakhstan shows itself surprisingly beatiful land, like my Irish friends named it recently, A Jorney Into Christmas Card. We will spend half a day in Astana city, new capital of Kazakhstan, brand new city with impressive new buildings and cosy old part. Another part of that day we will spend in a village, where hunter eagles are kept. Besides eagles we will enjoy traditional nomadic cookery, shoot the arrows, learn about hunting and nomadic traditions and learn about daily domestic routines. Improvised home concert may be performed by host family. The next day we will drive to Burabai National Park, whose landcsape is very different from the rest of Kazakhstan. This jorney takes full day and includes walk upon the lake, along the shoreline, climbing up one or two hills, depending on your physical condition and end in Azerbaijan cafe. Happily and gratefully I add pictures of my friend Paul to mine, enjoy!! Price is given for one person and two full days. This budget includes transport cost, guide service, visiting the village, meals in the village and Burabai, entrance fees and road toll. Meals and tickets in Astana are not included.
