Learning about the country beyond buildings and formal content
Learning about kazakh traditional cookery
Learning how urban or rural household is organized in modern Kazakhstan
Talking to ordinary people about their daily issues
Looking beyond streets, museums and builigings is very educating activity! Having a conversation with a local person beside formal schedule will teach you about local life in deeper details - how many children people want to have, what's the income, troubles, job, activity, traditions - whatever you want to learn from first hand. Meals can be made up to taste of guests. Kazakhs do not have vegetarian taste, but special taste like vegetarian, vegan, halal, gluten-free or allergic can be taken into consideration and cooked in desirable way. AT the moment young urban family, big rural family and family of a veteran of Afghanistan war are available in Astana, Karaganda and other cities of Kazakhstan. It is just a meal, takes a couple of hours, good extention of a city tour.
Curiosity and good questions. Some gifts to kids could be nice, but it is up to your decision.
