About this tour
Almaty is famous for its mountains and skiing&snowboarding is one of the main activities that you can do here during wintertime. Just in 30 minutes from downtown, you can visit the most famous ski resort in Kazakhstan – Shymbulak. Resort offers wide range of slopes for beginners and experienced skiers, as well as great restaurants and bars with an amazing view.
If you come for more than one day, we also can organize ice skating at Medeo Rink. Don’t miss the great opportunity to skate at open air up in the mountains.

Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Almaty, Kazakhstan to Гостиница Almaty City, Almaty, Kazakhstan
Itinerary: - Pick up | 9.30 am - Zeleniy Bazaar | 10.00 am | The most famous market of the city where you can see part of Kazakh and Central Asian culture through its food and mode of life. - Panfilov Park + Cathedral | 10.45 am | At this location we will have a walk at the beautiful park, visit memorial of the WWII and admire famous Zenkov Cathedral. - Square of the Republic | 12:40 pm | Visit of the main square of the City - Lunch | 1:30 pm | Lunch with Opera House View - Palace of the Republic | 3:00 pm | We will visit the square in front of the Palace where we will observe main architectural sightseeing and familiarize with Abai, famous Kazakh poet. - Kok-Tobe | 3:30 pm | At this location, we will have time to enjoy amazing panoramic view of the city.
Day 2: Almaty, Kazakhstan to Shymbulak, Almaty, Kazakhstan
Pick up from the hotel | 9.00 am Equipment Rental | 9.30 am Arrival to the Ski Resort Parking (Cable Car Station) | 10:30 am | Changing the clothes and putting on the equipment. Arrival to Ski Resort | 11:00 am End of the skiing day | 5:00 pm Cable car closes at 5 pm. Arrival back to the city | 7:00 pm
