You are welcome to join us for our annual Altai trekking group departure starting from 27th July 2026. It is an 11-day package trip that includes domestic flight tickets round-trip. During the trip, you can enjoy the remote and most stunning valleys of Altai Tavan Bogd National Park and trek for 14-18 km a day. All the luggage will be transported by camels. Once-in-a-lifetime experience quaranteed!

Day-by-day itinerary

Day 1: Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia

Welcome to Mongolia the land of the last nomads. At the Chinggis Khaan airport, you will be welcomed by our team. You will be transferred to your hotel in the center of the city. Afternoon we will take you on a short city tour and visit the main highlights of our capital. City tour continuous with a "welcome dinner" at the restaurant.

Day 2: Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia to Ulgii, Mongolia

Today you will take a flight to Bayan-Olgii province the land of nomadic eagle hunters and the gorgeous Altai Mountains. At the airport meet your local support team. Enjoy the hospitality of local Ethnic Kazakh people. Drive to the south entrance of National Park. During the trip, you will be supported by an English speaking tour guide and an experienced driver with his offroad vehicle. Also, enjoy a delicious meal from your personal cook. Camping and cooking equipment all taken care of by our team. Enjoy your trip!

Day 3: Ulgii, Mongolia to Altai Mountains, Mongolia

Today after having breakfast we will trek to the base camp of the Altai mountains. All baggage will be transported by camels and local horsemen will take care of that. For trekking take your hiking backpack and some neccecery baggage for trekking. Please bring your hiking waterproof boots. The base camp is one of the most beautiful camping places in Mongolia. Here you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Altai Mountains including the highest peak in Mongolia. The total hike takes about five hours. Stay overnight in a tent

Day 4: Altai Mountains, Mongolia

Climb to the Malchin peak (4050 meters). The Malchin peak is a traveler's favorite mountain and it is absolutely OK to climb up without any special climbing gear. Once you reach the very top, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of surrounding. Total climbing takes about 6-7 hours. Also, as an alternative activity, you can enjoy a Potanin glacier. It is one of the biggest glaciers in central Asia. Back to the Base camp

Day 5: Altai Mountains, Mongolia to Altai Tavan Bogd National Park, Mongolia

Trek back to White river-valley. The color of the river is amazing white like milk. The reason for that is it taking a start from the glacier and the minerals make the color so white. Enjoy a stunning valley. Also today you have an opportunity to visit a nomadic Tuvan family. Explore their ancient cultures and belief in Shamanism.

Day 6: Altai Tavan Bogd National Park, Mongolia

Today we will trek to "Khar salaa" which means a "Black valley". In both of these valley lives Tuvan people. Their way of living is truly amazing. If you are enough brave you can taste their hand-made vodka which is quite strong. As usual, all baggage will be transported by camels. Enjoy your trek!

Day 7: Altai Tavan Bogd National Park, Mongolia

Bear Valley. Today we will trek in Bear valley. It is one of the most beautiful valleys in western Mongolia and the best place for trekking. The valley is only accessible during the summertime. Enjoy your wild nature camping.

Day 8: Altai Tavan Bogd National Park, Mongolia

Camp by the Khoton lake. Khoton is a pure mountain lake with stunning surroundings. Today we will trek about three hours and switch to the car and drive another two hours and arrive at the best place for camping. Today you have an opportunity to climb on top of the hill to enjoy stunning nature and explore ancient petroglyphs from the Bronze Age. Swim to the lake and fishing day. Enjoy your day!

Day 9: Altai Tavan Bogd National Park, Mongolia

Trek in Waterfall Valley. The small valley with two stunn9ing waterfalls. The total trek takes about three hours. Afternoon arrives at the nomad's summer place where you can meet nomadic eagle hunters in real life. Enjoy the hospitality of the Kazakh people. Learn more about nomadic life and their traditions. Stay with a nomadic family For the evening enjoy a traditional meal in a traditional yurt. Be a part of nomadic life!

Day 10: Altai Tavan Bogd National Park, Mongolia to Ulgii, Mongolia

After having breakfast drive back to Olgii. You will be transferred to the hotel. Dinner at the local restaurant

Day 11: Ulgii, Mongolia to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia

Fly back to Ulaanbaatar. Thank you for coming have a safe flight!
