Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Sost
09:00 arrival at immigration/customs in Tashkurgan (China), after processing of documents/luggage drive to Khunjerab Pass (Pak-China border at 4700 Meters) ,this takes 2.5 hours of drive. Then you continue towards the port village of Sost (Pakistan) which is a 2 hour drive. Khunjerab is also a national park for wild life. Most prominent of wild life that can be seen there is the Himalayan ibex, Golden Marmot, Condor, Siberian migratory ducks, snow leopard (Grey Ghost). The snow leopard is not easily seen but one has been caught and we shall be able to stop by to have a close view. This leopard is in captivity of Khunjerab National Park authorities. You arrive at Sost (OUR services start at Sost )and go through customs/immigration. Once clear, we head to hotel for overnight at hotel.
Day 2: Sost to Hunza, Hunza Nagar
We drive toward Gulmit via Passu. Moving through Passu Cones or Passu Cathedral Mountains (6100 Meters), passing by Passu glacier. Arriving at Gulmit, we transfer to Boats and ride over Attabad Lake after 1.5 hours. At the other end of the lake, we transfer to vehicles and continue towards the famous little place Karimabad, the center of Hunza Valley. On our way we pass by sacred carving at Ganish locality. Overnight at hotel.
Day 3: Hunza, Hunza Nagar
Early morning visit Duicker to see sun rise. We travel into the higher parts of Hunza valley to watch the famous sun rise over the 7000M+ Rakaposhi peak/Ultar-1/Ultar-2/Hunza Peak/Lady Finger/Diran/Golden (Spantik)/Barpu Glacier. Here we shall be having breakfast at Eagles Nest as well. Traveling back down from Duicker, we visit the 900 year old Altit Fort. Then we head back up to Karimabad to visit the 750 year old Baltit fort. Do a water channel walk upto the source of water that is lifeline of most parts of Karimabad. After the walk we head down back to Karimabad bazaar and visit the shops. Overnight at hotel.
Day 4: Hunza, Hunza Nagar to Besham City, Pakistan
Early morning departure . Passing through the rugged mountains, close views of Rakaposhi peak, the 2.5 hour drive is the most interesting part of your travel along the Karakoram Highway, also historically known as the Silk Route (8th Wonder of the world as considered). Check. we visit the Ancient Buddha (Blessing Buddha) engraved in the mountains at Kargah. drive to Besham via Karakuram highway along Indus River through Dassu, Pattan, Mountain Ranges Junction called point. The three mountain ranges of Karakoram,Hindukush and Himalaya meet up at this point and we can see all three ranges at once. We shall also be able to have a distant view of Nanga Parbat (8126 Meters). You can stop to see the rock carvings at Shatyal. Overnight at hotel.
Day 5: Besham City, Pakistan to Swat, Pakistan
Drive to Swat via Besham. Overnight at Swat. Lunch at local restaurant Overnight at hotel.
Day 6: Swat, Pakistan to Peshawar, Pakistan
Early Morning sightseeing of Swat including Butkara Stupa, Museum, leave from Swat for Takht –e- bai after visting continue to Peshawer overnight at hotel.
Day 7: Peshawar, Pakistan to Islamabad, Pakistan
Morning drive to Islamabad. On our way visit to world heritage archeological sites of Taxila and the Taxila Museum, Dharmarajika (World Heritage), Jaulian (World Heritage). Arrive to Islamabad and Check in to DE PAPE Hotel. Visit to Food Street and Bazaar of Islamabad. Overnight at hotel.
Day 8: Islamabad, Pakistan to Lahore, Pakistan
Early morning depart for the 6 hour drive to Lahore on the Motorway. Evening visit of Wagah Border to attend the famous flag ceremony. Overnight at hotel.
Day 9: Lahore, Pakistan
Arrive and check-in at Hotel Lahore. After some rest, a half day excursion around Lahore city which includes Badshahi Mosque, The Mosque made up entirely of red stone, was built by Emperor Aurangzeb in 1674 AD. It is said to be the largest mosque courtyard in the world for outdoor prayers. Within the mosque, almost all the colors have been used to paint the floral designs but the overall effect remains one of sobriety, elegance and simplicity. Lahore Fort. The Mughal Emperor Jalaluddin Muhammad Akbar built the massive Lahore Fort in 1566 AD. It is rectangular in shape. Two main gates are located alongside the center of the western and eastern walls. The entrance is through Alamgiri Gate built by Aurangzeb. The Pictured Wall is a spectacular display of Mughal court life and is a remarkable mural, the only one of its kind in the world. Most of the northern wall was rendered in tile mosaic during Jahangir’s reign. Lahore Museum, Was originally established in 1865-66 on the site of the hall or building of the 1864, The Museum contains some fine specimens of Mughal, Sikh and British times. There are also relics from Gandhara and Indus Valley Civilizations as well as Tibetan and Nepalese exhibits. Overnight at hotel.
Day 10: Lahore, Pakistan to Multan, Pakistan
ON the way visit Harappa. Arrive at hotel Check in to hotel. Tour of city of saint (Shareshams & Shams Tabrez)
Day 11: Multan, Pakistan to Sukkur, Pakistan
DRIVE TO SUKKUR. Overnight at hotel.
Day 12: Sukkur, Pakistan to Hyderabad, Pakistan
DRIVE TO MOENJODARO FOR AN EXCURSION. LATER DRIVE TO HYDERABAD. Overnight at hotel.
Day 13: Hyderabad, Pakistan to Karachi, Pakistan
KHENJER, MAKLI HILLS, CHOKONDI TOMBS, BHAMBORE Overnight at hotel.
Day 14: Karachi, Pakistan
Drop to airport for flight to destination.
