About this tour
For 4 days you will be able to experience the life of a nomad. You will live in a nomad's family, and you will also have a short experience of nomadism from one village to another. Enjoy ordinary Kyrgyz food and beautiful starry sky.
Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan to Kyzart, Kyrgyzstan
Arrival to Bishkek, transfer to Kyzart (270 km). En route visit Burana tower, which marks the original site of the Karakhanid town, Balasagun. Then we will continue our way to the village of Kyzart. Overnight at a local house.
Day 2: Kyzart, Kyrgyzstan to Son-Kol', Kyrgyzstan
Early in the morning after breakfast, departure to the Kilemche valley, upon arrival we start nomadism on horseback to Sonkol Lake. From the valley to Sonkol Lake on horseback it takes approximately 3-4 hours. Upon arrival, lunch at the yurt camp, then free time. Son-Kul is one of the highest lakes in Kyrgyzstan (3016 m above sea level). It’s a place where you can experience a nomadic life. You will have a chance to ride a horse, see edelweiss flowers, yaks, golden eagles, and see how the local women make Kyrgyz national drink – Kymyz (fermented mere’s milk). This is a remote mountain lake situated on a treeless, high mountain plateau (3016 m) where shepherds bring the livestock in the summertime, establish a camp for living – setting up their yurts. In this magnificent place you can see hundreds of herds and a lot of different yurts. Dinner and overnight in the yurt camp. Meals: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner
Day 3: Song-Kul, Kyrgyzstan to Bokonbayevo, Kyrgyzstan
Transfer to Bokonbaevo (southern coast of Issyk-Kul). Upon arrival, we will check-in in a yurt camp, have lunch, and then we will go to see an eagle hunting demo. Later drive to visit the Fairy tale Canyon. Meals: Breakfast/Picnic/Dinner
Day 4: Bokonbayevo, Kyrgyzstan to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan
After breakfast transfer to Bishkek. Upon arrival Sightseeing tour: Oak Park, Ala-Too Square, Philharmonic Hall, Statue of Manas, Victory Square and Oriental market – Osh bazaar. Then Drive to airport Manas for departure flight or to Hotel Meals: Breakfast/Lunch
