Day-by-day itinerary

Day 1: Cochin International Airport, Kochi, India to Kochi, India

Arrive at Cochin airport our representative will assist you there and he will transfer you to the Brunton Boatyard hotel. After the long flight, you can relax at the poolside of the hotel. Later, you can enjoy dinner at a local restaurant where you’re served a selection of fresh local seafood. After dinner, you will come back to the hotel.

Day 2: Kochi, India

The morning after breakfast you will enjoy a sightseeing tour of the Kochi, you will visit Mattancherry Palace, Paradesi Synagogue, David Hall, and the old Moslem quarter. After lunch, you can enjoy the poolside of the hotel. In the evening you will enjoy the sunset cruise tour. After the completion of this, you will come back to the hotel.

Day 3: Kochi, India to Kumarakom, India

This morning you will move to Puthenangadi on the banks of the Lake Vembanad where you will board a traditional Kettuvallam. Your backwaters journey will start from here, you will enjoy freshly be caught scampi grilled in curry sauce, karimeen, backwater duck roast, tapioca, and steamed red rice.

Day 4: Kumarakom, India

This morning after having delicious breakfast you will move to coconut Lagoon. Where you will enjoy a very special “Curry Lunch" a feast served on a banana leaf. In the evening, you will explore the up-river on a canoe, and later on, there will be an interactive cooking demo, followed by dinner with the chefs.

Day 5: Kumarakom, India to Periyar National Park, India

Today, morning you will have a little boat transfer and you will move to Periyar. During this traveling, you will halt by at Planters residence where a local host will layout conventional lunch. In the evening your dinner will be served at 50 Mile restaurant, everything served here is grown within a fifty-mile radius that's why this restaurant name lying 50-mile restaurant.

Day 6: Periyar National Park, India

Today, you will walk through the jungle along with the naturalist and a guide from the local tribal community. Later you will visit one of the spice farms where you learn about the history of these spices and the riches they brought to Kerala and the country. In the evening, go for a walk in Kumily town with its quaint shops selling fresh spices grown in the neighborhood. Attend an interactive cooking demo with our chefs, followed by dinner.

Day 7: Periyar National Park, India to Chettinadu, India

This morning you will move to Madurai, which is famous for Meenakshi Temple. After lunch, you will continue to move to Visalam. In the evening you will enjoy a local classical music recital during dinner times.

Day 8: Chettinadu, India

This morning you will visit the weekly market called Vaara Sabdhai with the chef where greengrocers, fisherfolk, and fruit vendors display their wares under colorful canopies. Afternoon you will join the cooking class, you will prepare your traditional lunch with the help of the kitchen staff. As per tradition is served in the kitchen. After lunch, a visit to the handloom weavers of Chettinad is in order.

Day 9: Chettinadu, India to Puducherry, India

Today you will drive to Pondicherry, on the way, you will visit Thanjavur, which is famous for its great Chola temples. After lunch, you will visit the Chidambaram temple. Then you will continue to drive to Pondicherry, upon arrival in Pondicherry check in to your luxurious room at the Palais de Mahe. Once you’re settled, take a walk down old Pondy to one of the popular local restaurants for dinner.

Day 10: Puducherry, India

Today you will enjoy sightseeing Pondicherry, visit the Aurobindo Ashram, the French, Christian, Hindu, and Muslim quarters, the incredible colorful main market, the beach promenade, and the Ganesha Temple. Drop-in at the Aurobindo paper factory, and the Auroville Store. En route, have a cup of coffee at the Kafe Express, or some French food at La Maison Rose, a treat that’ll transport you to old Europe. Lunch is served at Maison Perumal, our boutique hotel in the Tamil Quarter, and a gala farewell dinner awaits you at Palais de Mahe to put a fine finishing touch to your culinary tour of the south.

Day 11: Puducherry, India to Puducherry Airport, Puducherry, India

This morning after the breakfast transfer to the airport to board the flight back home.
