This entire mansion complex was built in the 5th century. Next the hilly area which is 4000 feet above sea level, covered in green tea plantations, stunning waterfalls and panoramic scenarios. Finally, the amazing coastal area which will relax your mind and soul. Here enjoy sunbaths at the beach, witness the natural habitats and wildlife in between the journey. Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Bandaranaike International Airport, කටුනායක, Sri Lanka to Colombo, Sri Lanka
Relax in Colombo Our representative tour guide will be waiting at the Airport to warmly welcome you and would lead you comfortably to your hotel in Colombo. The first day allows you to relax and refresh yourself at the hotel before the start of your adventure. Activities • Hotel Transfer Accommodation – Kingsbury hotel or similar hotel in Colombo
Day 2: Colombo, Sri Lanka to Sigiriya, Sri Lanka
Sigiriya Experience Tourist activities in Sigiriya are remarkable including village tours to experience ancient village life, oxen cart rides, catamaran rides, walk towards paddy fields, cookery demonstration on traditional Sri Lankan foods and enjoy a traditional meal. You can enjoy elephant ride through the forest, around and across the lake. To conclude the journey, we will visit one of the national parks in the wild life reservoir of Minneriya, Kaudulla or Eco to see giants and wild elephants of the jungle, and then spend the night at Aliya resort & spa or similar hotel in Sigiriya. Experience the giants of the jungle, the historical kingdom and its unique features. Day 3: Sigiriya, Sri Lanka to Kandy, Sri Lanka
The Eighth Wonder Journey begins at 7.00 a.m. And drives to Lion Rock, Sigiriya bares the eight world wonder a man created stoned complete kingdom on the top of an isolated rock with amazing carvings, paintings as well as unbelievable archeologically planned entire mansion complexion built in 5th century. The pompous isolated rock is raised more than 600 feet’s above the ground with 3km length and 1km width. Visit Kandy. We will visit the Royal Botanic Garden, which is filled with colorful flower plants, herbal plants, endemic and epidemic plant species, and palm family trees. There are more than 4,000 varieties to be seen here. In the evening, take part in Kandyan dancing events. *Optional Additional Activity: Hot air balloon ride is an hour journey which begins along with the sun rise and flows over the jungle, geographical beauties, lakes, wild life habitats and over ancient villages. Dambulla is the iconic place which offers the safest and most enjoyable hot air balloon rides, all under the supervision of internationally recognized institution with their well-qualified and skillful staff. Kandy's view point stands at than 500m above sea level, from there you can see the city's most beautiful places. Day 4: Kandy, Sri Lanka to Knuckles, Sri Lanka
Knuckles Valley The driver picks you up at 6:00 in the morning from your residence in Kandy and drive straight to knuckles valley via Hulugaga road. Begin the trekking in the morning to Knuckles, while reaching the peak you will pass tea estates, waterfalls, panoramic scenarios, pigmy rain and cloudy forest. Day 5: Kandy, Sri Lanka to Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka
Ambuluwawa Mountain Hill You are picked up at 8.00 a,m. from the hotel in Kandy and drive straightway to “Ambuluwawa”, which is a green hilly area, rich in biodiversity. At the top of the mountain there is a man-made view point tower with the height of 48 meters approximately and provides a 360 degree view. Next stop is Macwoods tea factory, where you will be briefed about the entire tea making process and sample the different varieties according to their taste and quality. You can purchase fresh tea products from the factory outlet too. Day 6: Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka to Bentota, Sri Lanka
Madhu River Boat Safari Drive to Bentota and in the evening you will enjoy a boat safari along the Madhu river, get some natural fish therapy for total relaxation. When it comes to birds, Cormorants and Kingfishers are a common sight. The Madu River is very rich in biodiversity. It passes through the wet zone of Sri Lanka opening up into the large Madu Lagoon on its way to the Indian Ocean. After a well deserved evening of relaxation and potentially a bit of local exploring. Day 7: Bentota, Sri Lanka to Bandaranaike International Airport, කටුනායක, Sri Lanka
