Dushanbe - Kalai Khum Depart Dushanbe and travel to Kalai Khum through spectacular mountain scenery. You will cross the Norak Water Reservoir which is called the Tajik Sea and visit the ancient fortress Hulbuk dated from the VIII century. The highest point of the day is Shurobod Pass (2267m), from here Afghanistan border starts. You will be driving along the natural border of the River Panj. Kalai Khum – Khaburabot – Dushanbe In the morning, you will travel to Dushanbe. You will cross the high Khaburabot Pass (3252), known as the Western Pamir Highway. The road passes through a colorful river valley and breathtaking mountain valleys where you can stop to rest and take pictures. Residents - mountaineers Tajiks are by nature hardworking, hospitable, and kind people. These people greatly respect their traditions and folklore, and guests are treated with special respect.
