Quick change of steppe landscape to South Siberian forest.
Burabay lake, Bolektau hill, Bastion rock and Kokshe peak.
A lot of photographing.
Medieval history.
In just 2,5 hours of dirve or so you will see the landscape change completely from the Great Steppe to mixed lands and real forest, which is essentially the part of the South Siberia. The road is very good, on the way we will pass by golden and former uranium mines and a muslim cemetery, looking at which may be of cultural interest. While driving I'll be telling about history of nomads, relation of kazakhs to other turquic nations and famous persons of Middle Age. Akmola region once was the center of Virgin Soil campaign by Nikita Khrushchyov, you will learn about too. Being a journalist, I've gathered broad collection of private stories that show you the history from personal level. In Burabay we will visit local market, where local food niceties are sold, mostly homemade: honey, mushrooms, herbs, smoked fish, wine, syrups etc. Then we have a tour in Park area, I'll tell about the nature, history, we'll make a walk along the lake's shore. In the winter we can walk on ice, don't be afraid - the lake freezes for 1-1.5 meters even in warm meters! We will make the very minimum having climbed up to Bolektau peak. Then, depending on your condition, we have the Bastion rock (300 meters) and Kokshe peak (961 meter), these are really amazing!! Then, few more historical sites and late lunch in Azerbaijan cafe. The rest of day will be spent to transfer back to Astana. Pricing: given price includes only guide service. Other expenses depend on number of visitors and are subject to individual calculation.
