About this tour

This tour offers you the opportunity to experience the beauty of the Mongolian Gobi Desert through camel riding on the iconic two-humped Bactrian camels. You will learn how local herders care for and raise their camels, as well as discover how traditional camel milk products, including fermented camel milk (airag), are made.

Most importantly, we provide you with the unique opportunity to travel through the Mongolian Gobi Desert on camelback and experience the nomadic way of life firsthand.

Day-by-day itinerary

Day 1: Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia to Tsagaan Suvarga (White Stupa), Mongolia

Known as the “White Stupa,” this spectacular natural formation features towering white and colorful cliffs shaped by millions of years of erosion. Its dramatic landscape and breathtaking views make it one of the Gobi Desert’s most fascinating destinations

Day 2: Tsagaan Suvarga (White Stupa), Mongolia to Yolin Am Ice Field, Mongolia

A spectacular narrow gorge nestled in the Gobi Gurvan Saikhan Mountains. Surrounded by rugged cliffs and home to rare wildlife, the valley is famous for its cool atmosphere and ice that can remain deep into the summer.

Day 3: Yolin Am Ice Field, Mongolia to Hongorïn Els, Mongolia

Khongoryn Els (Singing Dunes) — One of Mongolia’s most magnificent sand dune landscapes, stretching across the Gobi like golden waves. When the wind moves the sand, the dunes can produce a deep, mysterious humming sound—giving them their name, the “Singing Dunes.
