The Chandragiri Half-day Tour features one of the famous hill station southwest of Kathmandu. At an altitude of 2551 meters, it displays views of the Himalayan ranges of Annapurna, Mount Everest, and many more along with cultural and historical figures and monuments of Bhaleshwor Mahadev Temple, King Prithvi Narayan Shah, and many more. There are two ways to reach the hills: by hiking and by cable car. So in this experience, the travel to and from the hill is by cable car. The trip starts after you are picked up by our guide and driven to Chandragiri Hills. Ride the cable car to the hills, explore, and ride the cable car back. The place is a popular family-friendly place with a children's park, eateries, and gift shops. After that, you will drive back to the drop-off location. Day 1: Kathmandu, Nepal to Chandragiri, Nepal
Pickup from Hotel and Drive to Chandragiri The Chandragiri Half-Day tour begins as you are picked up from the hotel and driven to Chandragiri municipality. We usually start the tour at 8:30 am or 1:00 pm afternoon. But you can choose any time between 8:30 am and 1:00 pm suitable for you. We will drive to the cable car station, and get our tickets for a gondola ride to the hilltop of Chandragiri. • Distance: 16 km • Highest Altitude: 1488m/4882ft • Duration: 30-45 min Ride a gondola to Chandragiri Hills Right after getting our tickets, we will ride a cable car/gondola to the top of Chandragiri Hills. The ride is 9-14 minutes long with beautiful vistas of forest and tiny settlements below us and picturesque giants far away staring at us. • Distance: 2.5 km • Highest Altitude: 2551m/8369ft • Duration: 9-14 min Explore the Chandragiri Hills The main reason for our travel is to visit and explore Chandragiri Hills. So, we will look around the hills and explore the place. We can see panoramic views of the Himalayas and the landscapes of Kathmandu Valley from the top. Many people enjoy hiking from the Chandragiri Hills. But as we are here for a tour, we will explore the temples and historical figures there and head to ride the cable car back to our transportation. • Highest Altitude: 2551m/8369ft • Duration: 2/4 hrs Return to Hotel The half-day tour ends after we drop you back at your hotel or discussed the drop-off point. If you have opted for the morning tour, in the daytime, you can choose to visit a few of the UNESCO World Heritage or rest in the hotel.
