Kathmandu valley is a beautiful cultural and social paradise surrounded by many hills. These hills are the vantage point to observe natural scenery and walk along the forest-filled paths and terraces of grassland. Every corner of the rim of Kathmandu valley has some popular viewpoints to step down from the chaotic city life and mundane lifestyle of the urban region. This multiday hiking is on the northern rim of Kathmandu valley with the greatest view of the great Nepal Himalayan ranges. Along the trek route and on the many vantage points of the hilltops, you can see panoramic and lovely views of mountains and mountain ranges. Along with the giants of earth, the view of Kathmandu valley is exhilarating from the viewpoints of Nagarkot and Chisapani. The jungle that covers most of the trails is filled with many flora and fauna. You will explore the jungle with waterfalls flowing through big rocks. Not only the natural but also the cultural and religious aspect of Kathmandu valley is involved in this three days hike.

Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Kathmandu, Nepal to Chisapani, Haibung, Nepal
We will leave right after breakfast at around 8:00 A.M. Our team will pick you up from the hotel and drive towards Sundarijal. The trek is an uphill trek to Chisapani for about 5 to 6 hours. The drive to Sundarijal is less than two hours. You can see streams of water falling from large boulders. Then we enter Shivapuri National Park filled with numerous flora and fauna. After an easy walk for a few hours, you will reach Chisapani. Chisapani is a beautiful hilltop village famous for panoramic views of the Himalayas. Chisapani is located on the edge of Shivapuri National Park. The place is beautiful with many lodges as they get many travelers every year. As you feel hotter after the hike, the cool breeze will help you to regulate your temperature. The temperature in the region is about 4% lower than Nepal’s average temperature, so pack accordingly. We will roam around Chisapani and stay in the hotel for the night. • Distance: approx. 16 km hike • Highest Altitude: 2215m/7267ft • Duration: 2 hrs drive to Sundarijal + 5/6 hrs hike • Accommodation: Guest house/ Lodge in Chisapani • Meals: Lunch, Dinner
Day 2: Chisapani, Haibung, Nepal to Nagarkot Geodic Survey Tower, Nepal
We will get up early to observe the beautiful scenery around Chisapani. After capturing the scenery of early morning with beautiful views of snowy peaks surrounding us, let's start the hike toward Nagarkot. It is a long walk from 7 to 9 hours. The journey is through the hillsides crossing local villages. We will continue our journey as we must reach our hotel before sunset so as not to miss the glistening sunset behind the great peaks of Nepal. Nagarkot is a famous point popular for its beautiful sunrise, sunset, and panoramic view of mountains and valleys. • Distance: approx. 25 km • Highest Altitude: 2175m/7135ft • Duration: 7/9 hrs • Accommodation: Hotel in Nagarkot • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 3: Nagarkot, Nepal to Kathmandu, Nepal
On the last day of the trek, we will get up before dawn to observe the sunrise from the Nagarkot view tower. After capturing the scenery of early morning with beautiful views of snowy peaks and peaceful Kathmandu valley as seen from the top, let's go back to the hotel for breakfast and then start the hike down to Changunarayan Temple. The hike follows a fixed trail past many villages of different communities and terraced farms. The view of mountains during the hike along the forested path is mesmerizing. We will pass a beautiful Buddha park near Nagarkot and rest there for a while if we have time and descend to Changunarayan. The Changunarayan temple is one of the oldest temples in Nepal. It is a medieval heritage site in Kathmandu Valley. Located on a remote hill surrounded by champak trees, the temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Built by the Licchavi kings, the temple was regarded to be one of the protection points of the valley. The beautiful and artistic temple has intricate carvings on the windows and pillars along with idols of other deities surrounding the temple area. As the temple was built in typical Nepali style, the temple of Changunarayan is enlisted as one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. We will spend some time exploring the temple area before riding our private vehicle back to Kathmandu. • Distance: 15 km hike + 20km Drive • Duration: 3/4 hrs hike + 1 hrs Drive • Meals: Breakfast
