Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Gorno-Altaysk, Russia to Chagan-Uzunskoye, Russia
Excursion along the Chuisky tract, with a visit to the rock paintings, the confluence of the rivers Chui and Katun - Chui Oozy, Katunsky bom, Seminsky mountaine pass and Chike Taman, Shirlak waterfall. The Chuy tract (roade) is the section of the federal highway P-256 (M-52), which passes through the Altai Territory and the Altai Republic. It starts from the city of Novosibirsk and ends in the village of Tashanta on the border with Mongolia, having a total length of about 1000 km. The first mentions of this route are contained in the Chinese texts of a thousand years ago, then it was called the Mungal road and, in fact, was a horse trail. Since ancient times, this route was used for trading and for trips to Siberia and further west. Chuysky tract is among the ten most beautiful roads in the world. Overnight stay in a guest house.
Day 2: Chagan-Uzunskoye, Russia to Ulagan, Russia
In the first half of the day, a visit to the Martian landscapes in the KyzylChine is planned. The colorful Kyzyl-China mountains near the village of Chagan-Uzun is a wonderful place for photographers, for lovers of geology and for lovers of beauty. Then we go to Geyserovo lake, then to the valley of the Chulyshman River through the Red Gate and the Ulagansky Pass. We visit the Pazyryk mounds - a chain of 5 mounds, representing the burial of the 6-7 centuries before Christ (BC), noble nomads, tribal leaders. Further pass Katu-Yaryk (height about 1500 m.). Magnificent views of the valley. Chulyshman. Descent from the pass to the Ak Cholushpa valley. Overnight stay at the recreation center “Uchar”
Day 3: Ulagan, Russia to Balykcha, Russia
Today we have a pedestrian walk to the Uchar waterfall. Uchar Falls (Chulchinsky) - "Unapproachable" - the largest waterfall in Russia. Its height is 160 meters. The sound of water stuns even on the approach to it. Who does not master the road, can rest on the bank of the river Chulyshman. Overnight stay at the recreation center “Uchar”. In the evening we are waiting for a hot Russian bath.
Day 4: Balykcha, Russia to Artybash, Russia
Today we will walk to the before Stone Mushrooms, see the environs of the Chulyshman Valley. "Stone mushrooms" were formed from solid materials as a result of leaching and destruction of softer rocks. Transfer to the Southern coast of Lake Teletskoye. Day 5: Artybash, Russia to Gorno-Altaysk, Russia
Boat trip on the lake Teletskoye to before village Artybash. Excursion to the waterfall Corbu. Transfer to the city of Gorno-Altaisk.
