Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Tashkent, Uzbekistan to Beldersay, Uzbekistan
(WESTERN TIEN-SHAN, CHATKAL RANGES) TREKKING TO MARVELOUS BELDERSAY Early departure from Tashkent (7.00 am Optional). We drive to Bildersay valley. (H=1510m; L=80km, T=1.20h). And start our tour. We start our trekking by going up to the red cliffs to the left side of chair lift station. It takes about one-hour till “Sunny” (H=1720m) meadow where we rest and enjoy from the panorama of surrounded mountains and valleys. Then we continue our trek past the 1000-year-old tree and reach to the Urta Kumbel pass (H=1830m). Then a bit slight descent to Marble River where we have lunch. After rest we go up to Takhtajalou pass (H=2000m) where we meet with shepherds. On a good path we reach to Chimgan valley to Aksai river array. Camping and overnight.
Day 2: Beldersay, Uzbekistan to Chimgan, Uzbekistan
Having had breakfast we begin our walk on a good trail along Aksai stream to the Aksai Waterfall (H=2200m). Snow fields can be found in the waterfall area until mid July. Having enjoyed the sight of the fall and scenic rock formations around it, we descend to a small birch-tree grove and have lunch by the stream which originates from mountain spring. Rest, we go up to the Black Fall (H=2090m). Those who are not eager to do so, can stay by the Aksai stream and wait for the rest of the group to return. Return to camping.
Day 3: Chimgan, Uzbekistan to Chorvoq, Uzbekistan
After breakfast we move to the next day hiking, we go through the village Chimgan, cross the road and start going up near the children’s resort(H=1570m). We go up to the pass “Pisochniy” (Sandy) (H=1825m) which is followed by a bit slight ascent to the top of Small Chimgan(H=2100m). Peak offers magnificent panorama of Big Chimgan, Karjantou ridge, Charvak Lake, Chimgan valley and western Kyrgyzstan of mountains. Having had rest and lunch we start decent to Chimgan village and reach to the camping area.
Day 4: Chorvoq, Uzbekistan to Tashkent, Uzbekistan
In the morning we move to the pass Melovoy (H=1695m) and go up along the crest of the ridge through the undulating red cliff (Kyzyljar) (H-1845) Lunch at the local shepherd summer pasture. Whole day in our last day trekking we keep walking on the top of ridges, so today is quite panoramic. After several hours walk we reach to the peak “ last” where you can see Charvak lake , then we rest and walk down to the hotel Chorvak Oromgohi (H = 950m.) where we meet with our driver. Return to Tashkent (L = 100 km; T = 1 hour 30 minutes). Note: In case of bad weather guides reserve the right to change the route. Difficulty: Medium Type:Linear (begins and ends at different points) Height over fall: 1510m – 2000m – 2200m -1750m -2100m -1750m – 1860m -950m (+490m; +200m; +1109;-+350; +110m; -910m) Arrival to Tashkent and have dinner in local chaykhana (traditional cafe) After rest transfer to Northern train station where we take night train from Tashkent to Bukhara from 22:25. We will enjoy in our soviet compartment and overnight in the train.
Day 5: Tashkent, Uzbekistan to Bukhara, Uzbekistan
Arrival to Bukhara train station in Kagan town at 06:20 am and transfer to the old part of the city (L=15 km) Breakfast. Today we start our city tour to from Lyab-i-Hauz complex and Nadir Divanbegi, Magoki Attari, and Kukaldash Madrassahs, rest and we visit to Ulug Beg, Abdul Aziz Madrassahs though trading domes Taqi. Lunch. After lunch and rest we will visit to Poi Kalon complex well as Registan Ensemble including Miri-Arab madrassah, Kalon mosque and marinate. If we have extra time we can visit to Ark Fortress and Bolo-Hauz complex. Overnight in Bukhara.
Day 6: Bukhara, Uzbekistan to Aidar Yurt Camp, Нурота, Uzbekistan
Breakfast and say goodbye to Bukhara we drive to Kyzylkum desert on the wat to Samarkand (L=280km). we visit to the Emir’s Summer Residence Sitorai Mohi-Khosa in the outskirt of Bukhara. By lunch we will reach to Yurt camp. Check our yurts then start the camels. We drive to the lake swim and walk on the coast. After delicious dinner everyone gather around the fire and listen local folklores. Nice music and dance. And the camp is perfect place for watching stars at night. Overnight in the yurt.
Day 7: Aidar Yurt Camp, Нурота, Uzbekistan to Samarkand, Uzbekistan
Breakfast and early drive to Samarkand (L=320 km) on the way we stop in Djizalk for famous pai (samsa) reach to Samarkand around 1 pm the start city tour. We visit Gur Emir (Temur’s graveyard),. Rest and visit oriental Bazaar (market) Siyob then continue our tour to Bibihanum mosque and ShakhiZinda necropole. Dinner in local chaykhana. Then visit to Mirzo Ukugbek’s observatory.
Day 8: Samarkand, Uzbekistan to Tashkent, Uzbekistan
Breakfast we continue our tour in Samarkand. First we visit to Registan ensemble including Ulugbek, Sherdar and Tillakari madrassahs. Then we move to Samaprkand ancient paper mill. Lunch and rest then we visit to Afrasiyab the ruins of ancient city. Drive to Tashkent ( l=300 km) Arrival to Tashkent and hotel check-inn.
Day 9: Tashkent, Uzbekistan
Breakfast. We start our tour from Tashkent metro (the oldest one in Central Asia) then we visit to Amir Timur Square, Independence Square and Applied Arts Museum After that we visit to old city part of Tashkent to local Chorsu - oriental market (handicraft bazaar) where we have lunch. After rest we continue our tour to Khast-Imam’s famous mosques like Tillya-Sheykh Mosque, Madrasah of Barak-Khan, and Mausoleum of the Saint Abu Bakr Kaffal Shashi. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 10: Tashkent, Uzbekistan
Free time and shopping. Departure to the airport and end of tour.
