Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan to Chon-Kemin, Kyrgyzstan
D1. Bishkek – Chon Kemin valley, 150km: Arrival to Bishkek airport and meeting with local stuff. Drive to Bishkek city, stop for exchange, local simcards and for some drinks, snacks for the route. Transfer to Chon Kemin mountains. Arrival to Karool Dobo and check in to guest house . The village situated at the foot of Ala Too mountain range at 1640m alt., best place with fresh air and good acclimatization for the guests. Walking in the village, meeting with local peoples, free time. Have a dinner made by the local family. (+-8EUR pp) Guest house with breakfast: triple rooms, shower, wifi.
Day 2: Chon-Kemin, Kyrgyzstan to Karakol, Kyrgyzstan
D2. Bishkek – Karakol, 300km: Start at 8:00. Morning transfer to Karakol city by the north shore of Issykkul lake. The pearl of Central Asia, second biggest mountain lake in the world. In Boom gorge we will stop to visit Konerchek canyons, beautiful canyons from very old volcano in Central Asia. We hike on the dried up river between two big rocks. Lunch at local restaurant in Cholpon Ata city. Stop to swim on beautiful place on the way. Arrival to Karakol and check in to hotel. Dinner at restaurant. Briefing with a guide for the trekking. Hotel with breakfast: twin/triple rooms, shower, wifi.
Day 3: Karakol, Kyrgyzstan to Saruu, Kyrgyzstan
D3. Treking to Jukuchak, 14km, +300m, 4 hours trek. Start at 9:00. In the city we stop to visit Dungan mosque, Orthodox Provo Slavic church and shopping at supermarket for the trek. We take a route to Saruu village than drive to Juuku valley to reach our trekking camp. Meeting with local team of the trek and having a lunch. Hiking in Juukuchak valley, we will see a small waterfall and beautiful view to the snow tops at the end of the valley. Dinner and night at the camp(2200m alt). After dinner you can enjoy warm water of hot springs. Lunch/Dinner
Day 4: Saruu, Kyrgyzstan to Kichi Kyzyl-Suu Road, Kyrgyzstan
D4. Treking to Kychy Kuzul Suu, 13km, +1040m, 6-7 hours trek. Start at 9:00. We will keep our lunch boxes and hike to next valley. We will cross the river few time on the way and we will arrive to Jumatay pass 3240m alt. The lunch time we are enjoying with view of Issykkul lake and with high peaks around. Hike to down to Kychy Kyzyl Suu valley and arrival to the camp (2310m alt). B/L/Diner
Day 5: Kichi Kyzyl-Suu Road, Kyrgyzstan to Chon-Kyzyl-Suu gorge, Pokrovka, Kyrgyzstan
D5. Treking to Chon Kuzul Suu, 15km, +890m, 5-6 hours trek. Start at 9:00. Hiking to next destination Chon Kyzyl Suu. We will cross huge alpine forest and beautiful mountain pass Kyzyl Tor. We can eat the wild strawberries and other foods in the mountains. Arrival to the camp (2378m alt). You can enjoy the hot springs +41C. Breakfast/Lunch/Diner.
Day 6: Chon-Kyzyl-Suu gorge, Pokrovka, Kyrgyzstan to Suttuu-Bulak, Kyrgyzstan
D6. Treking to Suttu Bulak, 14km, -222m, 5 hours trek. Start at 9:00. We will meet a lot of shepherds with animals. Climb to the pas at 2600m alt. and crossing the birch tree forest. Trek to down to Suttu Bulak valley and installation of the camp (2330m). Last dinner of the trek. Breakfast/Lunch/Diner.
Day 7: Suttuu-Bulak, Kyrgyzstan to Seven Bulls Rock, Dzhetyoguz, Kyrgyzstan
D7. Treking to Jety Oguz, 11km, -88m, 3 hours trek - Karakol city: Start at 9:00. Trekking to the fantastic landscape of red canyons Jety Oguz. One of the famous destination in Kyrgyzstan, Jety Oguz (The Seven Bulls). We will see the Jaralangan Jurok (The broken hurt canyon). Arrival to small village and meeting with a driver. The local team leave us and we drive to Karakol city. Check in to hotel. Dinner at local restaurant with Kyrgyz folk music. Breakfast/Lunch.
Day 8: Karakol, Kyrgyzstan to Song-Kul, Kyrgyzstan
D8. Son Kul lake 3016m alt., 310km: Start at 8:00. Transfer by south shore of the lake. Visit to Skazka canyons. Arrival to Bokonbaev and meeting with eagle hunter, demonstration of the traditional hunt, archery experience. We can stop at the wild beach and enjoy swimming in Yssykkul lake. Transfer to Son Kul lake via Kalmak Ashuu pass at 3440m alt. You could see rest of real nomads only in Son-Kul Lake, men all day long they ride horses and graze the cattle, which they collected from close villages. Women taking care of children and do housework: clean, cook, bake bread, make delicious butter and other dairy products from cow and horse milk. Arrival to yurt camp Muras. Day 9: Song-Kul, Kyrgyzstan to Song Kol Lake, Kyrgyzstan
D9. Son Kul lake – horseback riding, 5-6 hours riding: Breakfast in yurts. We will take Kyrgyz horses and day expedition to the mountain tops around. We will meet so much local nomads with animals. You can gallop on the steppes. Evening back to yurt camp and dinner.
Day 10: Song Kol Lake, Kyrgyzstan to Tash-Rabat, Kyrgyzstan
D10. The caravan saray Tash Rabat – Torugarat, 230km: Start at 8:00. Morning we are moving to Naryn city through 33 parrots pass at 3450m alt. One of the beautiful mountain road in the country. Walking to waterfall of the this pass. We reach to main road and arrival to Naryn city. Having a lunch at local restaurant in the city. Drive to At Bashy region via Kyzyl Bel pass on the way of Torugart (chines border). Arrival to the valley and check in to yurt camp. Walking around and visit to caravan saray Tash Rabat. Dinner (+-8EUR pp). Yurt camp with breakfast– 3-4 people in 1 yurt. Toilet is outside. Russian bania.
Day 11: Tash-Rabat, Kyrgyzstan to Chatyr Kol, Kyrgyzstan
D11. Tash Rabat – horseback riding, 6-7 hours, 4100m alt: Morning we will take horses and day expedition to Tash Rabat pass at 3900m alt. Riding in wild nature and we can see wild animals. Only here you can see herds of ibex and yaks, so much marmots. We will climb by horses to the top at 3900m alt. Beautiful view for the Chatyr Kol lake and Chines border. We climb by food to the top at 4100m alt. Go back to yurts. Dinner.
Day 12: Tash-Rabat, Kyrgyzstan to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan
D12. Naryn – Bishkek, 450km: Transfer back to Bishkek via Naryn city and Dolon pass. Stop in Kochkor town to visit hand-made souvenir shop. Lunch on the way. Stop to visit Burana Tower and museum in Tokmok city, historical place with buildings at 12th century. Check in to hotel. Dinner at local restaurant.
Day 13: Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan to Bishkek City, Kyrgyzstan
D13. The nomad’s capital - Bishkek: Good breakfast in hotel. City tour: firstly we will visit to colorful bazaar Osh, here you can buy interesting Kyrgyz souvenirs. Visit to national museum, walking in the center, Ala Too square, local art gallery and monuments of the victory. Free time. Night at hotel.
Day 14: Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan to Manas International Airport, Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan
D14. Back to home – airport Manas: Morning transfer to airport and the end.
