About this tour
We offer you a combination of two countries - Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. This tour is focusing on two cozy cities and the amazing nature of the two countries - mountains, lakes, canyons, passes and amazing views and panoramas. You will be acquainted with the local culture, traditions and way of life of the local population, experience their hospitality and taste national dishes.
Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Almaty, Kazakhstan
Arrival in Almaty. Meeting at the airport, transfer to the hotel. Rest. After lunch, we will have a city tour around Almaty. Visit Panfilov Park, Zenkov Cathedral, Memorial complex devoted to the World War Two and with eternal flame. Continue sightseeing at Green bazaar – a place where you can buy souvenirs, central Muslim mosque, Republic Square with three main symbols of Kazakhstan and Obelisk devoted to the independence. Dinner in local restaurant. Accommodation in the hotel. Meals:B
Day 2: Almaty, Kazakhstan to Medeo, Kazakhstan
Breakfast. Drive to Medeo Gorge. Stop at the huge Medeo dam (1733m), from the top enjoy the view of the largest high mountain skating rink in the world – Medeo, surrounded by marvelous mountains of Trans-Ili Alatau. After visit Shymbulak ski resort and will take gondola to enjoy amazing view. Then back to Almaty for lunch. After visit, the top of Kok-Tobe hill (by cable car) where you can enjoy unforgettable panorama of Almaty from the observation desk. Dinner in restaurant. Accommodation in the hotel .Meals:B
Day 3: Almaty, Kazakhstan to Saty, Kazakhstan
Breakfast. This day we will drive to Charyn canyon. Charyn Canyon is a unique natural monument, stretching for 154km along the banks of Charyn river to the east from Almaty. The height of canyon walls can be up to 300 meters. Walk in the canyon. Lunch-picnic after nice walk. Continue drive to the Saty village for dinner and overnight in a Saty guesthouse. Meals:BLD
Day 4: Kolsai Lake, Kazakhstan to Kaindy, Kazakhstan
Breakfast. Today we will visit very astounding lakes. Drive to Kolsay lakes is the system of 3 picturesque lakes on the altitude of 1800m, 2250m and 2700m respectively. Kolsay lakes are often calling the Pearls of Northern Tian-Shan. Here you will take short hike near lake one (option: boating). Back to guest house for lunch. After lunch transfer to Kaindy lake by old Russian jeep. The imposing shrank spruce trees that previously formed a forest there, now suddenly submerged in the lake that was born from the landslide. Walking in the surroundings. Drive back to guesthouse for dinner and overnight.Meals:BLD
Day 5: Saty, Kazakhstan to Karakol, Kyrgyzstan
Breakfast. Drive to Kegen (Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan border). Cross the border. Continue driving through Karkara gorge with stunning views. Arrival to Karakol town. Lunch in local restaurant. Then Karakol sightseeing: wooden Russian Orthodox Church, Dungan Mosque (XIX century), Local bazaar. Check-in to the hotel. Rest. Dinner in local restaurant. Accommodation in a hotel. Meals: B
Day 6: Karakol, Kyrgyzstan to Tong, Kyrgyzstan
After breakfast, drive to Barskoon gorge known for its waterfalls and the Suok pass (4008m) from where you may get to the glaciers and beautiful Tian-Shan mountain. Lunch-picnic. Continue drive for hiking to the “Fairy Tale” canyon (Skazka canyon), solid clusters made of limestone, sandstone are bulging from the colorful soil, and the place looks like the ruins of ancient castles. After short hiking, you will see demonstration of hunting birds of prey and detailed stories about these amazing creatures. Transfer to Beltam yurt camp for dinner and overnight. Meals:BLD
Day 7: Tong, Kyrgyzstan to Song Kol Lake, Kyrgyzstan
Breakfast. Transfer to Kochkor village for lunch in Kyrgyz family where you will enjoy homemade food. Continue drive to high mountain Son-kul lake(3060m), where you can see nomadic life, ancient culture, tradition and customs of Kyrgyz nomad is which is still alive today. Dinner and accommodation in Yurt Inn.Meals:BLD
Day 8: Song Kol Lake, Kyrgyzstan to Kochkor, Kyrgyzstan
After breakfast free time. Options for you horse riding (horses not including in the package) or just take walk around. After lunch, we will drive to Kochkor village. Here you will see “shyrdak show”, Kyrgyz women will show and explain to you how they are making traditional carpets. In addition, here you will have a chance to visit the handicrafts museum where you may even buy some souvenirs for your relatives and friends. Dinner with folklore show in guesthouse. Day 9: Kochkor, Kyrgyzstan to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan
After breakfast, transfer to Bishkek. Check-in to hotel and rest. Lunch in local restaurant. Then Bishkek sightseeing: Ala-Too square with changing of the guards, Victory square, old square with the statue of Lenin, Oak trees park, national historical museum and Osh bazar (local colorful). Dinner in local restaurant. Overnight at the hotel. Meals:B
Day 10: Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan to Manas International Airport, Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan
Transfer to international airport “Manas” for departure.
