Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Dushanbe, Tajikistan to Kalaikhum, Tajikistan
Meeting at the airport or hotel. Driving to Qalaikhum town. Driving along the Panj river and Afghan border. Visiting the local mosque in Qalaikhum. Today the tour guide will tell you about Arab conquer of Central Asia and spreading Islam. Then visiting the House of Culture of Qalaikhum town and acquaintance with traditional clothes and differences of culture of Tajik tribes.
Day 2: Kalaikhum, Tajikistan to Rŭshan, Tajikistan
Driving along the Afghan-Tajik border. Arriving to Rushon. Meeting with local family, introducing to local people life. “Madokhoni” singing ceremony, traditional dances and meaning of “Madokhoni”.
Day 3: Rŭshan, Tajikistan to Khorog, Tajikistan
Driving to Khorog city – the capital town of GBAO province of Tajikistan. Visiting the Shia Ismaili mosque. Introducing to Shia Ismailia philosophy. Visiting the Muhammad Rajput museum.
Day 4: Khorog, Tajikistan to Yamg primary school, Vrang, Tajikistan
Visiting the Buddhist monastery. Acquaintance with pre-Islamic culture of Tajik people. Visiting the Mubarak Wakhani museum who was a great representative of Sufi branch of Islam.
Day 5: Yamg primary school, Vrang, Tajikistan to Jelondy Hot Spring Spa and Hotel, Tajikistan
Driving along the Wakhan corridor with an amazing view to Afghanistan (In some parts even Pakistan). Arriving to Bulunkul lake. Continue driving to Jelondi mineral hot spring resort.
Day 6: Jelondy Hot Spring Spa and Hotel, Tajikistan to Rŭshan, Tajikistan
Driving back to Dushanbe. Overnight in Rushon town
Day 7: Rŭshan, Tajikistan to Dushanbe, Tajikistan
