Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: кан. Шават, Дашогуз, Туркменистан to Ашхабад, Туркменистан
At 10:30 meet the group at the Turkmen-Uzbek border Shavat. Drive the architectural monuments of KoneUrgench, During the tour: visit the Mausoleum of Najm al-Din al-Kubra, TyurabekKhanum, Il-Arslan, Tekesh Ibn Hadzhibey, the highest minaret in Central Asia Kutlyg-Timur. After drive to the Gas Crater – Darvaza (270km). Observe the fantastic view of the crater at daylight and at night, feel the heat and listen to the wind and the sound that this giant oven creates.
Day 2: Ашхабад, Туркменистан
After breakfast, drive to Ashgabat city (255km) accommodate at hotel and rest. Visit “Old Nisa”-The Sanctuary of Parhian Kings (UNESCO site), continue with Ashgabat city tour: visit main tourists’attraction in the capital: Independence monument, Neutrality Arch, Earthquake monument, Gulistan bazaar. Night tour driving along main streets of Ashgabat making stop near Palace of happiness
Day 3: Ашхабад, Туркменистан to Мары, Туркменистан
After breakfast, (8:00) drive to Mary city(350km). Upon arrival visit the glorious Ancient Merv (UNESCO World Heritage Site). 25 km to the east of Mary, towards Bayram-Ali. One of the major archaeological sites of Central Asia played an important part in the development of the Silk Road for more than 2 000 years. Within the limits of the archaeological park, which is 1200 ha, observe all constituent parts of the “wandering city”. Then visit Museum with an extensive archaeological section bringing together artefacts found at both Merv and Margush, including pottery, weapons, household implements and jewelers.
Day 4: Мары, Туркменистан to Фараб, Туркменистан
After breakfast hotel check out and drive to Turkmenabad city 4 hours. Lunch at 13:00-14:00 at local restaurant. At 15:00, drive group to the Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan border, Farap/Alat.
