Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Qazvin, Iran
As a tour guide with 10 years of experience and having full knowledge of Ismailis and Shiia history, I will proudly host you in my region. You will visit Ovan lake, at the elevation of 1800 meters above sea level. Then we have the plan to visit Alamut Canyons, the rock formation that you will not see the similar one in Iran. Finally visiting Alamut Castle or as we call it "Hasan Sabah Castle" at the elevation of 2163 meters above sea level. I will talk about the nature of Alamut Valley and the legend and the history of the Assassins of Alamut or Ismailians. This day will be approx 10 hrs including approx 2 hrs of walking/hiking.

This tour can be customized. Please get in touch with me. The day trips to Alamut Valley are possible from Tehran, but the best spot to start and finish the tour is Qazvin.
