Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Ashgabat International Airport, Ashgabat, Turkmenistan to Sport Hotel, Aşgabat, Turkmenistan
Day 1, Ashgabat – arrival Arrive in Ashgabat. Transfer to the hotel. check in the hotel. Free time. Half day tour: You will visit the National Museum of History, the Monument of Neutrality, Ertugrul Gazi Mosque, newly built Independence Park and bazaar. DINNER.
Day 2: Sport Hotel, Aşgabat, Turkmenistan to darvaza, Gaz Crater, Turkmenistan
Day 2 .Breakfast Early in the morning start the day with a sightseeing tour in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan that has recently been noted by the Guinness Book of World Records as having more white marble buildings than any other city in the world. During the city tour you will explore an archaeological site of Old Nisa included in UNESCO World Heritage list. Lunch. In the afternoon drive to Darvaza gas crater located in the middle of Karakum desert (280km, 4h). Arrive at the crater, set up the camp. Enjoy a delicious fire-cooked meal for dinner near the burning gas crater. Overnight in tents
Day 3: Darvaza, Gaz Crater, Turkmenistan to Koneurgench Dashoguz
Day 3 -Darvaza – Koneurgench- Ashgabat In the morning depart Gas crater and drive to Koneurgench. Visit ancient Koneurgench. Transfer to Dashoguz airport flight to Ashgabat. Overnight at the hotel
Day 4: Sport Hotel, Aşgabat, Turkmenistan to Turkmenbashi, Turkmenistan
Day 4 ,Ashgabat-Turkmenbashi-Avaza. Breakfast. Flight to Turkmenbashi. Arrival Turkmenbashi. Transfer to Yangikala canyon. Visit Yangikala. Night at the hotel “Seyrana” or similar.
Day 5: Turkmenbashi, Turkmenistan to ashgabat, Turkmenistan
5 day Turkmenbashi – Nohur – Ashgabat. Early breakfast. drive to Ashgabat day trip to Nohur village in the Kopet Dag Mountains (visit tribal cemetery and pilgrim site; silk weaving homes), Gokdepe Mosque and Kov Ata underground lake in Baherden on the way. Intense and interesting excursion also includes a stopover at the Akhalteke horse stables. Arrive in Ashgabat. Over night at the hotel.
Day 6: Ashgabat, Turkmenistan to Mary, Turkmenistan
Day6, Ashgabat – Mary – Margiana, Alexandria, Gonur (Margush) – Mary Take a morning flight to Mary (370 km, 40 min.). Arrive in Mary, drive through the desert to archeological camp Gonur Depe (110 km, 3 h.). Discover the excavations of the ancient Margush country capital – Gonur which consists of the Palace of the city, Fire and Water Temples, Royal Necropolis. Return to Mary. Visit History Museum of Merv region. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 7: Mary, Turkmenistan to Ashgabat, Turkmenistan
Day7. Mary – Ashgabat Drive to Merv. an ancient city that was a major center of international trade and crafts located on the Silk Road. Discover historical park with Sultan Sanjar Mausoleum, Large and Small Gyz Gala, Erk Gala, Gyaur Gala, Keshk Fortress, and others. In the afternoon drive to Ashgabat(4h).
Day 8: Ashgabat, Turkmenistan to Gypjak, Ashgabat, Turkmenistan
Day 8. Ashgabat Breakfast. Visit of Turkmenbashi Mosque-Mausoleum one of the biggest mosques in Central Asia. Visit carpet museum, shop at “Berkarar” shopping center, “Gulistan” bazar. Free time.
Day 9: Ashgabat, Turkmenistan to Ashgabat International Airport, Ashgabat, Turkmenistan
Breakfast. Transfer to airport. End of tour
