Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Farab, Turkmenistan to Mary, Turkmenistan
Discover UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ancient Merv and sightseeing of Mary city. Take a bite to traditional Turkmen cuisine and experience contrast of Ancient Historical site and modern city.
Day 2: Mary, Turkmenistan to Ashgabat, Turkmenistan
Start your first impression of Ashgabat city with a cup of coffee or tea on a Kopetdag Mountains with a stunning view of whole Ashgabat city at sunrise. Visit Old Nisa and see Marble City of Ashgabat from inside.
Day 3: Ashgabat, Turkmenistan to Yangykala Canyon, Tersakkan, Turkmenistan
Best natural beauty and stunning shoots of Balkan Province - Yangykala canyon is main attraction of this day. Gozli ata and tribal cemetery will introduce you to various customs of Turkmen people and natural unusual shapes of stones near Kemal ata will keep you interested during whole day,
Day 4: Kow Ata, Turkmenistan to Gokdepe, Turkmenistan
Underground lake of Kow ata where mountains keep lake in their heart and fill it with natural minerals. Possibility of swimming in lake and taste BBQ near lake with coal tea or coffee. Gokdepe Fortress, Military Museum and Mosque will catch your attention and will put you in time machine to kick you into past of those buildings filled with history and customs.
Day 5: Ashgabat, Turkmenistan to Darvaza Gas Crater - "Door to Hell", Derweze, Turkmenistan
Morning tour of Ashgabat and preparation to see heart of Karakoum desert Darvaza Gas Crater. Flaming crater in the middle of desert, night in a traditional Turkmen yurt with meat and veggies on a saxaul coals will help you to be one with nature.
Day 6: Darvaza Gas Crater - "Door to Hell", Derweze, Turkmenistan to Köneürgench, Turkmenistan
Capital of Khwarazmian Empire, UNESCO World Heritage Site city of Old Urgench with huge history and marble of Ancient Civilizations will be facing you in last day of Turkmenistan trip.
