Skardu Valley is a picturesque region located in the Gilgit-Baltistan territory of northern Pakistan, at an elevation of about 2,500 meters (8,200 ft) above sea level. It is situated at the confluence of the Indus and Shigar Rivers, and is surrounded by several high peaks, including K2, the second-highest mountain in the world. The local population is mostly Muslim, and the region has a rich cultural heritage, with a blend of Balti, Tibetan, and Pakistani influences. Visitors can explore the local bazaars, taste traditional cuisine, and learn about the local way of life.
Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Islamabad International Airport, Islamabad, Pakistan to Islamabad, Pakistan
Arrive Islamabad international airport and transfer to Hotel and sight seeing
Day 2: Islamabad, Pakistan to Skardu
Take 45-minutes of Flight toward Skardu enjoying the view of Nanga Parbat. (Sightseeing Buddah Rock, Kharpocho fort, Organic Village)
Day 3: Skardu to Shigar
Visit Shigar Valley, light trek to Blind Lake, Shigar Fort and Sarfaranga cold desert. (Shigar is the land of K2)
Day 4: Shigar to Khaplu
Drive to Khaplu Valley, visiting 600 old Chaqchan mosque, Enjoying the view of Mashabrum, Lunch at Saling fish with trout fish, Enjoy view of Hadi Cones and Mashabrum Peak.
Day 5: Khaplu to Deosai National Park
Visit Deosai National Park the world 2nd highest platue where wild animals like Brown bear found and back to Skardu.
Day 6: Skardu
Visit famous Sharngrilla lake & Resort famous with its design and lake, and Upper Kachura lake and Choq Valley, Chunda Valley.
Day 7: Skardu International Airport, Skardu to Islamabad, Pakistan
Fly to Islamabad and dinner at top of Margallah hills with the coolest view of Islamabad City
Day 8: Islamabad, Pakistan to Islamabad International Airport, Islamabad, Pakistan
Transfer to Islamabad Airport take your flight and toward your designation.
