Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Dushanbe, Tajikistan to Kalaikhum, Tajikistan
Kalai-Khumb village, the first district of GBAO. The road along the Pyanj River on the border with Afghanistan. On the way, lunch in the city of Kulyab. Stop at the guest house.
Day 2: Kalaikhum, Tajikistan to Khorog, Tajikistan
The city of Khorog. The administrative center of GBAO. On the way visit the fortress of Vomar in the Bartang valley. Sightseeing of the city (botanical garden, market). Stop at the guest house in Pamir style.
Day 3: Khorog, Tajikistan to Yamchun Fort., Eshkashem, Tajikistan
Arrival to the village of Yamchun. The road through Ishkashim (the administrative center of the district). Thermal springs Garmchashma, Bibi-Fotima, Nomadgut fortress, Kakha, the beginning of the Vakhan valley. Dinner and overnight at the guest house.
Day 4: Yamchun Fort., Eshkashem, Tajikistan to Langar, Tajikistan
Arrival to the village of Langar. The Hindu Kush peak, petroglyphs and rock carvings of the Darshai, the source of the Narzan mineral water, the Buddhist stupas, the solar calendar. Dinner and overnight in one of the best guest houses in the Pamirs.
Day 5: Langar, Tajikistan to Bulunkul, Tajikistan
The village of Bulun-Kul. Overnight in the yurts. Along the way, an Afghan caravan, the Khargush Pass at an altitude of 4200 meters. Lake Chukur-Kul, Tuz-Kul Shor-Kul. If desired, a trip to the lake Yashil-Kul.
Day 6: Bulunkul, Tajikistan to Murghab, Tajikistan
The village of Murghab. On the way, stop and lunch in the village of Alichur. For gourmet dishes from local fish. Petroglyphs Mine and rock carvings of antiquity. Overnight at the guest house.
Day 7: Murghab, Tajikistan to Karakul, Tajikistan
Arrival to the village of Kara-Kul. A beautiful view of the largest lake in Tajikistan at an altitude of 4000 meters above sea level. Stop at the guest house.
Day 8: Karakul, Tajikistan to Sary Mogul, Kyrgyzstan
Peak Lenin on the way crossing the border of Kyrgyzstan. Lunch in the village of Sarytash. Beautiful view of the Alai valley. Back to the village of Sary-Mogol, dinner and overnight.
Day 9: Sary Mogul, Kyrgyzstan to Osh, Kyrgyzstan
The city of Osh, on the way pass Taldyk. Horseback riding on the Chyyrchyk section. In the evening, seeing off from the airport in Osh.
