Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia to Umnugovi, Mongolia
Early in the morning, you will be transferred to Dalanzadgad, the provincial capital of south Gobi. There, our local driver will pick up us at the local airport and take us to the Yolyn Am, or Vulture Valley.The valley is the most Beautiful and high elevated gorges forming incredible canyons. Gorges are so high thus sunlight never reaches the floor and winter’s snow can be kept good even in summer time. These areas are situated in the Gobi Gurvan Saikhan /Three Beauties of the Gobi/ National park, the most easterly points of the Altai Mountains. Day 2: Yol valley, Ice stream, Mongolia to Khongoriin Els, Mongolia
Drive to the “Khongoryn els” - the biggest sand dune in Mongolia. We will climb to sand dunes. Reaching a height of 300 meters in some areas. We will explore to the dune by camel. The two-humped Bactrian camels are very comfortable to ride as they walk slowly and gently. You will be well supported by their soft, fluffy humps when you ride them. Our camel guide will lead you safely through the sand dunes. You will have an opportunity to visit a camel herdsman family to experience their lifestyle, culture and traditions. We will taste a Khormog which is fermented camel milk. So that there is a chance to gaze at the billions of stars in the evening. Day 3: Hongorïn Els, Mongolia to Flaming Cliffs, Mongolia
Early morning, we will drive to the Bayanzag, also known as the Flaming Cliffs, where the first dinosaur eggs were discovered in 1922 by Roy Chapman Andrews. In this huge paleontological site, we will walk around the saxual forest where the Dinosaurs once roamed 60 million years ago. We will short drive to Khavtsgait petroglyphs and short hiking are good additions to this trip. There is great opportunity to take photo. Accommodation: Guest house Meals: B, L, D Destination: earth road/paved 160 km- 4 hours
Day 4: Umnugovi, Mongolia to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia
Early morning we will drive back to Dalanzadgad for our flight and return to Ulaanbaatar. Accommodation: - Meals: B Destination; air 560km -1.5 hour & dirth road 100 km 1 hours End of the trip.
