Head to Tsagaan Suvarga, known as White Canyon, located in Ulziit village of Middle gobi province. It is interesting to see the sheer slope, facing east, which looks like the ruins of the ancient city from a distance. Over thousands of years the wind has created this amazing structure. It is an ancient seabed with sedimentary structure created by million years and the different colors of the ground represent different times.
Drive to the majestic Gobi Gurvan Saikhan National Park and visit Vulture’s Valley or Yolyn am, a deep and narrow gorge with steep rock walls situated within The Gobi Three Beauties mount range in southern Mongolia. The valley is named after vulture, which is called Yol in Mongolian. The gorge is also called as ice canyon. The thickness of ice field reaches over 3 meters deep by the end of winter, and is several kilometers long. In past years the ice remained whole year round, but lately the ice field tends to disappear by August due to global warming.
Drive to the largest & most spectacular sand dunes in Mongolia, known as Singing Dunes that makes sound like an airplane when the sand is moved by wind. Approximated length of the dune is over 120km, 16km wide and its highest point is about 300m.
Drive to "The Flaming Cliffs or Bayan Zag – saxaul forest lies around 90 km from the Gobi Three Beauties National Park. The place became famous with its first scientifically recognized dinosaur fossilized eggs in the world and different species of dinosaur skeletons were discovered by Roy Andrew Chapman American explorer in 1923.
Head to Ongi Monastery ruin, lies on the bank of the Ongi river. The monastery was one of the 4 biggest Buddhist Monastery in Mongolia and destroyed during the communist purges in 1937.
Continue our trip to the Central Mongolian route to explore present Kharkhorin town, which was the first capital of Mongolian Empire and Edene Zuu Monastery, the biggest Buddhist Monastic complex.
Travel to Khustai National Park where we'll explore a wild horse, locally called as Takhi horse.
Drive back to Ulaanbaator city.
