Baga gazriin chuluu We will drive to the beautiful Baga Gazariin Chuluu, and it is a local protected area. This is a picturesque granite mountain with an elevation of 1751 meters above sea level in the Granite zone of Mongolia territory. Tsagaan Suvarga LOCATION: 420 km from Ulaanbaatar, 85 km from Ulziit town in Dundgobi province, and 30 km east of the Ulaanbaatar-Umnugobi main road. What is Tsagaan Suvarga? 30-60 m high, 400 m long, colorful limestone formation, once was the ocean bed where the visitors find marine fossils and clamshells. Its colors are outstanding early morning and evening. Tsagaan Suvarga was named after its shape resembles the Buddhist relict stupas or pagodas. Things to do and see near Tsagaan Suvarga Tsagaan Suvarga is a beautiful photo shooting spot both day and night. There are some trails to hike down and up through the cliffs. Except for the cliffs, 50m-long Khevtee Bosoo Cave is worth a visit. People have abundant time may spend a day exploring ancient rock drawing gallery in mountains located 32 km from Tsagaan Suvarga. . ”Three beauty mountains” National Park (Bearded Eagle Canyon) After breakfast, we will drive to the well know a place “Yoliin Am,” it is the narrow ice canyon of a river that flows through 2815 meters high of sea level Zuun Saikhan Mountains. The gorge sheered rocky walls with a height of about 200 meters high in the central part. This area has been protected since 1965 and has an area of 70 square kilometres. “Khongoryn Els” dunes After breakfast, we will discover the beautiful Khongor Els Sand Dunes with an extraordinary length of 180 kilometres and 15-20 meters full lie on the northern part of the mountains of Sevree and Zuulen. After breakfast, we will drive to next point Bayanzag; it is located near the centre of Bulgan Soum, is internationally famous for the paleontological discovery of dinosaurs remains from the Paleolithic Era that includes complete skeletons, eggs, and hatchlings of the Cretaceous Period. Dinosaurs skeletons discovered here including Protoceratops, Oviraptor and the heavily armoured Pinacosaurus that were living 70-80 million years ago. Flaming Cliffs were found in 1922 by the explorer Roy Chapman Andrews, who visited in Mongolia. • Accommodation: Family Yurt or Tourist camp
Ongiin Khiid LOCATION: 20 km south of Saikhan-Ovoo town in Dundgobi province. Nestling on the south and north banks of the Ongi River bend, Ongi was one of the important monasteries in the Gobi desert - consisted of two separate monasteries connected by a bridge. On the southern river bank was 320 years old Hutagt Monastery comprised of 9 main temples, plus small temples and stupas. The Balim Monastery was built relatively late about 240 years ago on the northern bank of the river and consisted of 13 main temples except for the other constructions, stupas, etc. The monastery had 4 religious institutions and housed by over 1000 monks at its height. Unfortunately, no temple remained after the 1930s communist purge except for a stupa. In 1990, few monks returned the monastery and completed a small temple in 2004 The location of the monastery is spectacular among the Gobi desert mountains, a halfway to break the trip for an overnight between the two major travel destinations of the Gobi desert and Kharakhorin. Travelers visit a small ger museum showcase some artifacts found at the site, explore the ruins covering an expanse area, and climb one of the nearby hills to see the impressive views of the ruins, the river, ger camps, and the surrounding area.
Going towards West from Khögnö Khan, we can find sand dunes lost in the middle of a mountainous area. They’re called Elsen Tasarkhai, ”the sand fracture”, and extend on 80 kilometres (49,71 miles) in the South of the Khögnö Khan National Park. These dunes run along the Tarna River that is borded with willow trees. They are also called Mongol Els, ”Mongolian sand", or Khögnö Tarniin Els.
Return to Ulaanbaatar city. Today we will shop at cashmere factory stores of Goyo and Gobi, the most famous cashmere brands in Mongolia. In the end, you will be transferred to the hotel you booked.
