Zhetysu -the Land of Seven Rivers is a successor of ancient civilizations. For centuries, it had been the place where roads and historical fates of many ethnicities crossed. A long section of the Great Silk Road ran through this land. Nowadays, Zhetysu is the unique complex of historical, architectural, and natural memorials.
We are offering a tour program; guests can visit the main attractions of Altyn-Emel National Park: the Saki barrows of BesShatyr, Singing Dune and Aktau mountains
Further, the route follows to incredible canyons of Charyn and Temirlik rivers – Red Canyon “the Valley of the Castles”, Lunar Canyon, Katu mountains, panoramic sites. Our tour is the most intensive trip to canyons and lakes. Moreover, the most interesting and picturesque part of the tour; mountain lakes “Kolsai” and “Kaindy”.
Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Almaty International Airport, Almaty, Kazakhstan to Almaty, Kazakhstan
Meet the group at Almaty airport, city tour in Almaty. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Almaty, Kazakhstan to Altyn Emel National Park, Алматы, Kazakhstan
After breakfast, departure from Almaty to the Altyn-Emel National Park. Tour of the petroglyphs of Kyzylauys. Transfer to guest house in Altyn-Emel. Dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Altyn Emel National Park, Алматы, Kazakhstan
Breakfast at 07:30am. Sightseeing tour to the Singing Dune. Return to guest house for lunch. Sightseeing tour to Katutau and Aktau mountains. Dinner and overnight in Altyn Emel guest house.
Day 4: Altyn Emel National Park, Алматы, Kazakhstan to Kolsai Lake, Kazakhstan
Breakfast at 08:00am. Transfer to Ash-tree Grove on the Temirlik River. Sightseeing and picnic. Then drive to Charyn Canyon. Sightseeing in the «Valley of Castles». Departure to Kolsai Lakes at 16:00. Arrival to Kolsai Lake-1 (1800 m). Dinner and overnight in GH.
Day 5: Kolsai Lake, Kazakhstan to Kolsai lakes National Natural Park, Алматы, Kazakhstan
Breakfast. Trekking to Kolsai Lake-2 (2250 m., 9 km, 4 walking hrs). Picnic in nature. Return to Kolsai Lake.
Day 6: Kolsai Lake, Kazakhstan to Kaindy, Kazakhstan
Breakfast at 08:00am. Transfer to Kaindy Gorge. Sightseeing at Kaindy Lake. Picnic in nature. Return to Kolsai Lake-1. Dinner and overnight in guest house.
Day 7: Kolsai Lake, Kazakhstan to Almaty, Kazakhstan
Breakfast. Transfer to Bartogai reservoir. Sightseeing. Picnic in nature/cafe. Departure to Almaty. Arrival in Almaty. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 8: Almaty, Kazakhstan to Almaty International Airport, Almaty, Kazakhstan
Transfer to the airport for home flight. After formalities see the group off.
